I keep getting a message up on my screen, which says:

An exception "Runtime" has occurred in Script.

However, no debuggers are registered that can debug this exception. Unable to JIT debug.

:shok: What does this mean? What kind of antibiotics do I need for this?

Looking around it seems its to do with Virtual Studio, so I presume you have that installed. This seems to be the most comprehensive way of getting rid..

Open VS:

Go to Tools and then Options.

In the Options Dialog box Double click Debugging and then click JIT

Enabling options:

Manage

Native

Script

Click on OK.

This sets the Registry key and will start JIT. So do the Revers to Disable it.

You have to Disable the Keys. Method one:

Click on Start Menu and Type Run (for P Hit Run box)

Type in regedit and hit Enter

Expand the Keys to located the place

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug\Debugger is one location.

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\DbgManagedDebugger

Delete these keys. Or set the Auto key's value to 1.

On a 64bit system the paths will be: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\...

You may need to reboot the system as well.

Method two: Enable Dr.Watson using an alternative method:

Get a Command Window (Command Prompt)

Type drwtsn -i and

Hit enter

If you were using a third party debugger read this

Microsoft Support

Next step

Open Start>Control Panels>Internet Options: Advanced and activate (check box)

Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)

Disable Script Debuggung (Other)

I don;t think I have Virtual Studio. I have never installed it or used it. How would I know if I have it? Look in All Programmes??

It's not a large program. If you can't find it,. just download it again, and this time make a note of where you save it... or just double click to run when the download finishes.

yes, I use Mozilla, and I know it should be there but it's not, and this has happened so often, and my son who is really knowledgeable with computers confesses himself totally stumped by it. if I could afford to i would chuck it out and buy a new one, but I can't - I need my pension money to buy presents for my grandchildren and alcohol for moi!

Go to TOOLS then DOWNLOADS on your tool bar at the top of your browser, it should still be there somewhere.

No that simple - I am offered two options - Save or cancel. So I save it into downloads, then when I go to downloads it;s not there. But I will do it again and try saving it somewhere else. Oh and when the download finishes the page disappears

This is because you've got "Close download window when complete" checked. Go into Tools/Options/General and uncheck it.

While you're there you could (if you want) also change the download folder for somewhere that's easier for you to get to.

Try using a different browser moi.

I thank you all for your help. I'm going to have to go and calm down now before I try anything else!

The tools/options button is in French and I can;t see anything that corresponds to opening or shutting downloads windows - GGGRRR!

One more thing you can try. Have you tried searching for the file? The latest version will be called ccsetup301 but a partial file name will do, so in case you've downloaded an older version, put ccsetup into the search box.
