Chelsea star Frank Lampard has refused to join Zenit Saint Petersburg despite a super-rich offer from the Russian champions.

According to IMScouting website, which is citing unnamed Russian sources, the St Pete side has made a bid of €15 million to sign the English international.

The 32-year-old player has been offered a massive contract of nearly €10 million per season.

But Lampard rejected the offer, saying all he wants is to end his career at Chelsea.

Not sure if this rumour is true, but since he turned the offer down and said he'll end his career with us I think it's still worth mentioning.

So Terry turning down a huge offer from City and Lampard turns down this offer from Zenit. Nobody can say Chelsea ain't got players with a big Chelsea heart :)

I saw this rumour on some site myself earlier. I wasn't sure where to put it in the top 10 list of funniest rumours of the year :P

Frank has never waivered despite interest from Barca and Madrid. I dont think he will be moved to sign for Zenit

I hope this rumour is true actually. I'm sure many teams would love to have Lampard and it would be great to see him reject anyone no matter how much money they're offering and chose to stay here.

The zenit FO are probably thinking "well, it was worth a try".

Lamps to Zenit? It's more funny than Beckham to Chelsea :D

Losing out Frank on this stage would be like throwing Oxygen Cylinder away while going under water....so its utter bullcrap.
