25 years ago today, the wild one himself Phil Lynott succumbed to a combination of drug addiction and pneumonia. May he rest in peace.

I've also just learned that Gerry Rafferty has passed away today after a long battle with alcoholism.

RIP Phil and Gerry.

Billy Connoly's old musical partner, they recorded a couple of albums together as the Humblebums. Then Rafferty went solo. He actually wrote (not recorded) Baker Street in a house that friends of mine now own in Kilmacolm

Devastated to have heard this, this morning. I loved Japan and Mick Karn was , as you say a massive talent. Gutted.
