Bolton at home when we came back from 3-0 down in the last 15 or so mins to win 4-3 is of course legendary. Haven't seen a clip of that but I remember this one on match of the day at the time. A 3-2 win over Citeh at Maine Rd.

Includes possibly Ossie's last goal for Chelsea in his second stint with us. Not to mention a fine breakaway goal from Flash.

I have seen the highlights from that, but not for many years. They must be around somewhere, but they've never been put on YouTube AFAIK. They weren't great quality - on a par with the footage from the 3-3 game at Cardiff.

This is great! I was at that game, which took place on my birthday. There was quite a few of us who went in those days, and everyone bought me a pint. I think I drank between ten and twelve pints of Guiness before the game. Anyway, I got as far as Langley's goal - 1-3 - then passed out! One of the greatest comebacks in our history I was out sparko in the West Stand as everyone went nuts around me.

So I learned an imporant lesson that day. Don't get so drunk pre-match that you pass out before the game is over because you mght miss something!

That winter 1978/79 was a really bad one with lots of games off every week due to ice and snow.

Maine Road had a decent covering that January day too.
