Just wondering what peoples perceptions are of how we'll fair against the other teams in our league considerin there signings and imminent ones

mainly..

Liverpool : Adam, Henderson, Enrique, Downing,Doni

City: Clichy, Aguero, Nasri, Savic

United : Jones, Young, De Gea, Sneijder

Us : Romeu, Lukaku, Courtois

Do people feel these teams are much stronger now?

and how do you feel about us?

You may be being premature with one or two of those signings, but nevertheless ..

I think Ashley Young is a great signing for Utd and I wish we had got him.

Homegrown, fast, versatile and plenty of chutzpah.

Just what we need.

Jones is presumably a good signing too, especially with Ferdinand getting creaky.

No idea about the keeper, I hope he turns out to be a dud.

As for City, Aguero is class, very depressed they got him. If they get Nasri, which it looks like they will, they will be significantly stronger for it. Hope it all implodes. Never rated Clichy.

Liverpool have bought well, very well IMO. If Arsenal lose Fabregas and Nasri, they will struggle to finish above them, and that would mean no CL. Don't forget Liverpool already have some very decent players, and they don't have the distraction of Europe ..

If we had bought Young, I think he'd have hugely restricted Sturridge's playing time. I'd have loved to sign him if that meant he would compete with Malouda or maybe even a replacement for him but not at the cost of hampering Sturridge's progress.

Liverpool: A whole lot of money for alot of pretty average players. Im still most worried about Suarez. Henderson doesnt even figure right now, and Adam's purchase was completely pointless in my view. Plus, now they actually feel pressure to deliver for the first time in two years.

City: Again, they have improved, but its too many cooks for me. Balotelli, Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko up front for one stirkers spot. MEanwhile, Barry, Yaya, and De Jong are gonna back up Milner/Silva/Nasri? And Adam Johnson comes off the bench. If they had gotten a world class CB or fullback, Im worried about them, but a world class CB or RB wouldve made them favorites, in my view. As it stands they just enhanced what they already had in spades last year.

Man Utd: Pissed off. Jones and Smalling together will make a solid backline for years, Young is an astute buy, and DeGea has looked a stud in the past. That was 48 million in investment and it could help them compete another 5-10 years. Praying to god they dont add Sneijder/Modric too.

Arsenal: Im sure Gervinho will score a hatful, Ryo whatsisname will look amazing, Wilshire and Ramsay will be phenomenal, and the gunners will still fall short despite all the accolades. They could surprise everyone, but with Vermalen and Koscelny in front of their keepers we know what to expect.

Young has something which no Chelsea regular from last season has.

Your right, his diving and moaning is much better than any player we have can do.

Wouldnt want young. He will disappear againt the top sides.

Maybe he did that with Villa, but now he is with a top side. Its not like they are going to lean on him like they will on Rooney or Nani.
