Fact: fans of every club think the media has it in for them and that rival clubs x,y and z get special treatment and are media darlings.

People obsess over this type of thing far too much and there's far too much of it on here too, it's all very tedious.

I didn't think this was true until I started interacting with more fans from other teams. Everyone thinks that their team is the biggest victim. I was ASTOUNDED when I first read a Liverpool fan claim that John Terry was a media darling and could do know harm in the media's eyes. I think it is human nature to assume a defensive posture when it comes to something you love or are very passionate about.

Exactly, talk to any Liverpool fan and they go on about the media biased against them, especially as Sky are based in London and the BBC have a large presence in Manchester. They even have a campaign against the Sun.

There are obviously certain journo's that have an affiliation with certain clubs, but that doesn't mean all of CNN are Arsenal Fans just because Piers Morgan works for them.

I do think that if there was a team that seemed to get more breaks it would be Man Utd, but that's probably because of Fergie's power over a lot of them - and referee's but that's another thread. Case in point, I certainly didn't see that much about the Gigg's scandal, over the alleged Terry affair.
