Chelsea in Indianapolis

Around 10 years old, my parents brought me back a Chelsea shirt from London. I never wore it and it just sat in my closet until I decided to start watching some English soccer one day. I already had the Chelsea shirt, so I figured I'd start with them. Saw a match, absolutely loved Lampard, Drogba, Essien, and the like, and was in love. 19 now, and I'm sold out on CFC!

I have been to the Bridge and actually had tickets for Villa home this year, but the match was moved back one day, which put it in conflict with my flight home...

Incredibly excited to see the Blues in my hometown!

Aww great!! Your parents had great taste to pick a Chelsea shirt :-)

I always had a little soft spot for Chelsea but never really watched football (being a girl), apart from if my older brother was watching MOTD, I'd always want Chelsea to win!! Loved Zola and that FA Cup win and Cup Winners Cup was amazing but I was only 8 & 9 at the time!! I became hooked on CFC after the game at home against Barca, under Vialli, it was electric. Also football in England became more glamorous and cool for girls to like it as well :-) I'm 24 and men and women my age like football.

Under Abramovich we've had some amazing, unbelievable times, the best has to be winning the CL against Bayern in Munich.

But no matter what there will always be drama with Chelsea FC!!  ::ChELSeAFaN::

What's with these strange screen names?  GT5717B?  ACW9293?

I am located in D.C., and am a bit jealous about Chelsea not playing near where I live.  Oh well, maybe next offseason.

My screen name is my old college ID, kind of like a prison number.

Got my tickets a couple days ago!  I am very excited about the game and getting the benefit of seeing Jose coaching the team.  I am trying to recruit some buddies to go with me but don't have many fans of football (soccer over here) as friends.

Phillip, you could have gone up to NYC a few weeks ago. I was considering doing it with my GF, but all told it would have come to about $500+ for the two of us via train.

I'm very tempted to make this trip, no matter the cost, but I am sick to death of these fake "World Football Ultimate Champions Challenge"  names they give these things. Stop acting like its some mega trophy for new (north american) fans to drool over. Just call it a preseason tour and be done with it.

I don't care what its called.  I am just happy to be able to attend.

My screen name is my initials and my birthday.

Not sure if I can go. I'm in the middle of switching jobs and if it works out I won't be able to get off. If I didn't have to drive through Chicago I could probably make it but not during rush hour.

Ace, if you're willing to endure a 5 hour train ride the trip could cost you less than 50 bucks round trip.

I am very thankful they come around stateside a lot, dont get me wrong, I just wish this summer derby thing wasnt branded as a tournament of some consequence.

I kind of liked the old format of these tours, as well, where it was Chelsea's tour and the exhibition games were MLS. If Chelsea ever play Madrid or Milan, I want it to be under the lights in an April CL tie, just feels strange during a summer kickabout.

I live in Nebraska, not Chicago. It's just easy for me to get to Chicago, although I suppose Kansas City would be easier.
