How do Loyalty points work ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have just signed up as a Chelsea fc member but I live in Scotland so I will only get to stamford bridge a couple of times a year but the away games in the north (Newcastle,w**k u, city, Liverpool, Everton etc)

But was looking at tickets and it says for the big game it works on loyalty point but obviously just signing up I have none .....

My question is

What are my chances of getting these away tickets ??

And

How many loyalty points do you get on average for an away game (I know they very but roughly)

For the likes of Newcastle  and Sunderland, very little, Man U and Man City will most likely be difficult. One point for each away game.

If you get a chelsea mug you get 1 point, if you get a shirt and wear it to your local pub you get 2 points, if you go to a game you get 3 points, if you get a chelsea till i die tattoo on your face then you get 100 points.

I used to live in Glasgow and did loads of away days with not that many points - at the time it was easy to get tickets for/get to cheaply for Blackburn/Bolton/Wigan - those usually went on sale to all members.

Obviously we won't be playing them this season unless it's a cup, so fixtures I'd look out for are Villa/Hull/West Brom, then you might be in with a shout for Sunderland/Everton.

Any others will be much harder to get tickets for without any points, and be aware that the last few games of the season are always difficult, no matter who we're playing.

Whereabouts in Scotland are you coming down from? If you're central belt, consider getting a ticket for one of the 'easier' to-get-tickets-for-games at home, and catch the train down to London and back on same day; did that a few times and was affordable if booked early enough and a painless journey- except when we lost!

There are a few stadiums north but they are also some high profile clubs so getting hold of a ticket is a different story. I will take your advice and go a little further south to some away games. Got family in Cardiff so Cardiff or Swansea games might worth doing.

I live out Kilmarnock so only 20mins on a train and I am in central station. I know virgin do glasgow to London euston is a little under 5 hours. So could do stamford bridge in a day

I'm based in Glasgow and I've slowly but surely built up my points. Best thing to do is renew early to get bonus points at start of season and then buy tickets for the first load of games and if you ain't going, sell them. (Face value of course!) You will always find people looking for tickets

That's what I do and it pretty much guarantees me tickets for any game as the season goes on.
