As we all know our season tickets only cover league games. If wish to go a non-league game e.g. an FA Cup tie we apply on line - or visit the box office  - and are sent a paper ticket. I have spoken to season ticket holders at Man. City, Rangers and Millwall and their season tickets only cover league games. When they apply for non-league games rather than a paper ticket being sent out their season ticket card is updated to allow access to the match. A confirmation text is also sent out after the application is made. I think this is much better than what Chelsea and loads of other clubs do. It reduces the amount of paper; saves tickets being lost in the post; and we don't have to pay the admin fee which I think is a con. Obviously if you wish to use another seat in the ground or we are playing at a neutral ground a paper ticket is issued.

 

I'm going to contact the club to see if we can do the same as the three clubs mentioned above - and I suspect that there are others - but before I do, want to know what others think. Cheers.

Second Yep quite a good idea also I wonder if the club would offer say a mini season ticket to cover say 5 cup games- Not like Arsenal where you have to buy but as an option

Eminently sensible, not an exciting topic but somehow I'm drawn to answer!

I guess this is about IT systems and if it doesn't do it now it probably will cost them a small fortune to update it.

Anyway no doubt they woudld still charge an admin fee for updating the ticket!

Yeah that's a good idea.  I have a man city friend and he said that a standard membership card is he's ticket for the games once he gets he's ticket online its put on he's membership card so no need for paper tickets.  Not sure if he's telling the truth.
