ethicalstrategy Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Cech really is THAT good. Anyone want to tell me that Carvalho isn't a top class centre back? JT was never fit to play - thank god he is ok and that we got away with it. Frankie looked like death warmed up and played pretty much like that too. Big credit for turning out, but he shouldn't really have started either. Mikel will be a top top player. Unlucky to be sent off although his original foul was very cynical. Didier Drogba, La La La La La Didier Drogba La La La La La. Ronaldo has been great for Utd but don't tell me anyone other than Didier should be PFA, European, African & World player of the year - Now there's a quadruple! Fabregas is a c**t. As is Andy Gray. Mourinho knows what he is doing. Made the right changes at half time and won us the cup!
Maksimov Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Mourinho knows what he is doing. Maybe Jose should copy Sledge Hammer the next time Roman invites Jose to his office.
Killbill Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Cech really is THAT good.Anyone want to tell me that Carvalho isn't a top class centre back? How many of ye of little faith thought Walcott was skin Cravalho when they went one on one on right side of the penalty area? Fabregas is a c*** He truly is. And he is always at it as well.
german-blue Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Robben should be mentioned aswell. Was very creative, setted up Drogbas header to 2-1 with a great cross. Just stay fit boy.
Mike O Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 One extra random thought to add to yours, mate.... I still don't get the point of Ballack. Yes there was the pass to Drogba but there were also 89 instances of giving possession away to the Arse.
midlandblue Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 who's this Ashley Cole fella? Never gave him a moments thought yesterday. Bridge for the remainder of the season, at least, must be option No.1.

lauren Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 quote I saw in the Mail today the first time play was stopped by celery
BLUENUT Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Another random thought is that no commentator or reporter has mentioned that Chelsea should have had a penalty when JT injured Diaby's foot with his face. If THAT challenge happened ANYWHERE else on the pitch it would have been a free-kick and probably a booking for Diaby.

I believe kicking the opponent in the face, accidentaly or otherwise, is normally deemed to be a foul.

If THAT challenge happened ANYWHERE else on the pitch it would have been a free-kick and probably a booking for Diaby. After watching the replay several times I think JT was diving in bravely for a header and Diaby was just trying to clear his lines. His foot was reasonably high but not excessively so (who can forget Batty's bicycle kick in the face of the Tunisian during WC 98 for example?). It was a horrible accident and I'm just glad that JT was OK. Ironically Diaby came out of it the worst. I think a penalty would have been harsh. Having said that I was watching Fox Sports News in USA last night and their Scottish pundit Bobby McMahon incredibly suggested that JT could have been booked for dangerous play had he not been stretchered off. With pundits like that perhaps Andy Gray isn't so bad after all!
