  1. I hope this collaboration may long continue.
  2. ‘The manager has given me the confidence to play this position since the beginning of the season. I am trying to do my best and I will get better at it, and I hope to have success in it this year.’ That' s the end of that debate.
  3. Dennis Wise seems to like him: Chelsea great Dennis Wise has branded his former club’s summer signing Jorginho an “absolutely outstanding” player... “I like the boy [Sarri] has brought in, Jorginho, I think he has been absolutely outstanding,” Wise told Goal. “I have watched him and how he covered holes, how he pressed and he dictates to his team-mates as he wants them to do certain things. “I think by bringing in Jorginho, you bring in someone who knows Sarri very well and how he plays and what he wants to do. “When you have someone right in the middle of that midfield who understands how the manager plays and dictates that to everyone, I think it is really helpful and he has so much quality as well. “I think he has given the ball away once over the whole pre-season. I am actually looking forward to seeing him progress over the course of this season.”
  4. If Lampard learned from a translator and Gerrard learned from a waiter, I am sure Hazard can learn from a banker
  5. I can see fans are thrilled by this news.
  6. He did say midfielders (centrocampisti) but the translator translated it with centre backs.
  7. “Call me Maurizio”. That’s pure class. We want Sarri for our leader Sarri is a man of class We want Sarri for our leader All stand and raise your champagne glass. Gentlemen, assassins and ladies of the night …
  8. Sarri's first job at Napoli was to convince Higuain to stay, which he managed to do. And Higuain was rewarded with breaking the Serie A scoring record that stood for over 50 years by netting 36 goals. Maybe he’ll manage to convince Hazard as well.
  9. Blue is the Colour, Sarriball is the Game
  10. Ooh! Sorry, I've just come.
  11. That doesn't seem much of a threat, Sarri earns a handful of peanuts a year. Sue Napoli for the loss of a three year contract with Chelsea worth 18mil, that would be different.
  12. According to the Napoli lawyer: for Jorginho “It’s practically all done”, for Sarri “Sarri could sign either today or tomorrow, it’s happening”. “No other Napoli Player will leave for Chelsea”. I presume by signing he means sign the termination agreement with Napoli.
  13. From a transcript of today’s press conference (I couldn’t find the video clip for this one) "Although we consider him an excellent player for Ancelotti’s style of play, and despite the relatively credible offer from the Chinese for Hamsik, it was decided to accept Man City’s offer and I will have to apologize to them. The deal was concluded 15 days ago after resolving various issues, but if the player prefers London to Manchester I can understand it, also if Chelsea pays him more I can understand that even more and there is nothing I can do about it. Jorginho to Chelsea is not dependent on Sarri’s deal".
  14. I presume that's just a typo
  15. ADL: "I have proposed some conditions now let’s see what happens in the next few hours. My lawyers have prepared some text that has been submitted to his lawyers, let’s see. Let’s wait and see. I always say let’s wait and see.
  16. I speak the lingo and just listened to the video of the press conference. Have an Italian translate it for you if you don't trust me. https://www.tuttonapoli.net/multimedia/video-tn-adl-annuncia-sarri-chelsea-in-dirittura-d-arrivo-dipende-solo-da-lui-ho-posto-delle-condizioni-361784
  17. It's not an accurate translation.
  18. This tweet doesn't seem quite accurate, DL actually said "I have proposed some conditions now let’s see what happens in the next few hours. My lawyers have prepared some text that has been submitted to his lawyers, let’s see. Let’s wait and see. I always say let’s wait and see.
  19. Here is my two bits on the whole saga. Reading between the lines it seems that Ancelotti’s contract with Napoli becomes effective once it has been registered with the Italian league. The usual date for this is the 1st of July or the first day of pre-season (I wouldn’t put it past De Laurentis to wait until the last possible minute). I read that Napoli pre-season was due to start today with the players due to leave for training camp on the 10th but now I have read that Ancelotti won’t be in Naples until Friday, when he will be presented to the team. So if the contract hasn’t been registered on the 1st and won’t be registered today it will definitely be registered on Friday. Once Ancelotti’s contract becomes effective then all sorts of legal routes are available to Sarri to release himself from the contract e.g. restraint of trade, constructive dismissal etc. How long will it take for him to be released if he goes down that route I don’t know, but one would presume Chelsea have been given some guaranties and have everything read to make this process swift and painless. PS I forgot to say that this is guess work and I am not a lawyer.
  20. Roman has told me to tell you to stop fretting because: Pre-season starts on 9th July for players not at the world cup; Sarri will be the new manager in time for the 9th July; Rugani and Alisson will be the only new additions to squad unless any key player leaves; and The squad will be trimmed down to 23 players (2 players for each position plus a third goalkeeper) all the other fringe payers will be sold or loaned out.
  21. His arse is not the only orifice he likes to pick from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHE4eQIfA6A PS how do you insert a youtube video?
  22. My feeling is that Roman has taken as much bollocks as he can stomach from the little jumped up El Presidente just to save £2.7 million. So he’ll wait until the 1st of July when the release clause starts again and pay the full £7.2 million and be free from any obligations Napoli have been trying to impose on Chelsea. Seriously now, it’s very strange that no-one has got a clue about what’s going on at Chelsea at the moment. Usually, the media have at least an inkling of what’s going on but in this case they seem completely clueless.
  23. You're in safe hands, nothing will happen on Monday. I don’t know why the Napoli president is being such a c0ck (maybe he thinks he is a real president), surely he must know that once Ancelotti’s contract kicks in (1st July I am assuming) there is no much he can do to stop Sarri rescinding his contract. I presume he is relying on the fact that Sarri would have to do that through the courts (either for restraint of trade or for constructive dismissal or both) and that would stop Sarri being able to get a job this summer.
  24. Do you know what happens to people who post this kind of news and it turn out not be true? Don’t make me come and find you Mr MC.
