Correct! I believe kicking the opponent in the face, accidentaly or otherwise, is normally deemed to be a foul.

After watching the replay several times I think JT was diving in bravely for a header and Diaby was just trying to clear his lines. His foot was reasonably high but not excessively so (who can forget Batty's bicycle kick in the face of the Tunisian during WC 98 for example?). It was a horrible accident and I'm just glad that JT was OK. Ironically Diaby came out of it the worst. I think a penalty would have been harsh. Having said that I was watching Fox Sports News in USA last night and their Scottish pundit Bobby McMahon incredibly suggested that JT could have been booked for dangerous play had he not been stretchered off. With pundits like that perhaps Andy Gray isn't so bad after all!
