Fair play to Stevie 'Me'

Didn't see him suing papers when it was rumoured he was moving to Chelsea, only to blackmail his current employers into giving him a MASSIVE pay-rise!

When it suits it suits!!!

''London Sport Magazine's website, had caused Gerrard and his family considerable embarrassment and distress

*EDIT*- because he couldn't wrangle more money out of Liverpool for the story. He decided to take legal action and has received a substantial payoff from the magazine and remains a Liverpool player.*

He's Liverpool through and through that boy happy0034.gif

It nearly happened last year - it prompted Scousers to set light to Liverpool shirts with his name on the back. Then at the last minute he changed his mind and the the same Scousers had to go hunting for washing lines with Liverpool tops hanging out to dry.

And within 24 hours he was a Liverpool hero again who would do anything for the club he loves.

I wish more footballers and football clubs would take legal action against papers for printing stories with no evidence to back up their claims.

Why? It's entertainment for the masses.

"Caused me and my family considerable distress" These people take themselves far too seriously. They are never anywhere near ordinary people anyway, unless you count their servants.
