Alright, with the summer back on it's time for the latest edition of the fantasy draft game that never quite seems to go beyond the first round. Similar rules from the previous game, a randomly-selected snake order draft with the bottom person picking two in a row, and the top person the same after their first pick. I'll do the order in a random generator type thing once we have the numbers. Ideally we'll have eight players but we'll go with six if we can't get enough willing participants - so far just myself and presumably footballoholic. 

 

This time it's very simple; only Chelsea players from the club's inception until now. For the purposes of the draft only the time that the player's spent here will be considered, that applies particularly to the likes of Ballack et al. I think a full squad of 11 plus two subs ought to do it. I was thinking of going with an all-time PL one but was convinced to go just Chelsea - if anyone thinks that'd be a better idea instead don't hesitate to say so, we won't be beginning until we have all spots locked in.

 

Now this is very important: please don't choose to participate if you don't think you'll be able to get online to choose your players on a regular basis, or if you'll otherwise be pre-occupied. We've had a lot of issues with that in the past and I'd like to ideally avoid it this time round. We'll start off with a day or so for each person to draft their player, and then hopefully we'll speed it up towards the end. After all the players have been drafted we'll begin actually versing each other in the games; more on that much later.

 

Also I apologise to the mods if this is in the wrong section, but try to keep it here if possible; we'll need as much exposure as possible and it is Chelsea-related anyhow.

I'm game but an all Chelsea pick is basically going to boil down to cherry picking from the last 15 years predominantly because it's comfortably our most successful period.

 

Personal preference would be an all time Premier League draft.  

It was mine too orginally; and I thought the exact same thing, towards the end it'll be mainly obscure names and as you say recent players. Very tempting but we'll see what the others say.

The Chelsea only thing was my idea but I'm fine with a Premier league draft as well. 

 

Count me in either way.

It's pretty simple really. I think we're going with a PL era draft so only players who've played in the Premier league are eligible, and they will be judged on their premier league performances.  

 

A random draft order will be decided. A snake draft means each poster will pick a player in that order and then the order is reversed each round meaning whoever picked last in the first round picks first in the second and so on.

I wonder where PloKoon went. He's usually up for these. We may just have to wait for him if no one else enters.

^Yep, read on from there and you should be alright. There's one more that we did too, I think. Slightly different to fantasy football; it's voted on by members of the forum and there are no stats to go by, as such.
