Celery1989 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Not sure how comfortable people are to talk about this but I'm interested to know exactly to what extent FV still exists today. I know a few people who used to get involved, so to speak, back in the heyday of the 70's and 80's and from them I get the sense that it happens on a much smaller scale nowadays; no more than a few dozen blokes, generally saving it for the big rivals, often not even scrapping that near to the ground. Seems like it kicks off more abroad generally. Apparently the Chelsea Firm is split into different age groups or something as well. Anyone happy to share anything on this?

I just see little snippets that something has happened between so and so often ages after the event, some clubs messageboards are quite open to a bit of bragging the same day. Lots of twitter photos of various mobs on a couple of websites, usually posing outside pubs or backs of heads on their way somewhere or other. Every clubs appears to have a firm of some sort and I don't see why Chelsea should be any different. After events in Amsterdam and Paris a couple of years back we seem to have enough of all ages willing to get stuck in. Whether these are the just beer monsters, old school or CYF I don't know. It's all on youtube, etc.
mileoffside Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I hear stories of "Chelsea youth," meeting up etc etc, but to be honest I don't know how much truth there is in any of it. Ive seen some of the old faces at away games, had a few drinks etc, asked after the kids and misses and that's about it !ll Be interesting to know what the score is on this, Spurs seem to go everywhere tasty all mobbed up, they think it's the 70's still
bluegraham Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) It just ain't worth it anymore with cctv and every one with mobile phones and so on. The last bit of fv I was caught up in was Celtic at the bridge and Liverpool the season before Edited October 3, 2015 by bluegraham
Droogba Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I'm glad it's disappearing, but then again society as a whole is now so much more violent and aggressive. Perhaps it was better confined to the terraces. My biggest concern is racism at grounds abroad.
