Ray Wilkins feels the full force of a Jimmy Case's tackle
in the 1983  FA Cup Final. Gordon Smith looks on.

Ah, Gordon Smith. So close to scoring what could have been the winner. I think that Brighton brought out a fanzine which was called:  "And Smith Must Score."

I remember watching the game. If memory serves correctly Gunther Netzer had a brilliant game for the Germans.

Me too Boyne.

Must have been live on BBC. Recall Netzer and Muller both scoring in a 3-1 win for West Germany and thinking their Green kit looked pretty cool!

1972, England 1 v West Germany 3

Gunter Netzer's penalty goes past Gordon Banks to give West Germany a second goal in a 3-1 European Nations Cup quarter-final at Wembley. April 1972.

From what I have seen of the match and read. Netzer really ran the show that night.
