Linked to yet another defender. This time Giorgio Chiellini from Juventus who Conte obviously knows very well. £25m for the 32 year old, is what we are supposed to be bidding for him.

it's only a possibility because conte has worked with him plenty of times and knows him very well, other than that, it's like getting john terry 2.0, he's decent yeah but he's lost a lot of the stuff he had 4-5 years ago when he was younger, i'd rather we go for koulibaly or maksimovic, not this guy tbh

He's in the top 5 centre backs in the world. He's nothing like Terry, totally different style of defender, and as we've all seen, Italian defenders have a habit of being able to play at a top level into their late 30s. If we could get him for half the price of Koulibaly, it's a no brainer, because he's incredible. Don't see it happening though.

Exactly.  A good friend of mine is of Italian heritage, and his family are all Juve fans.  When we got Conte, he and I spoke, and I causally mentioned that Chiellini had been identified as a possible transfer target.  My mates pretty much said that was never going to happen, and that there's no way the Juve fans would let it happen either (as in they'd protest)
