Membership seating

Featured Replies

Alright troops,

This might sound stupid but me and my mate have signed up for a chelsea membership for this season and are looking to go to a good few games. I was wondering if when you buy a ticket thought the membership do you get to choose your seat? So as we are sitting together. Does this also apply to away games as we are from Scotland so games like Newcastle away are easier to reach.

Cheers in advance boys

Yo need to put your mate in the "Friends & Family" list, and your mate put you, so you can buy each other's ticket in one purchase. Otherwise, chances of siting together will be low to nil. All you can choose is the stand where you want to go, the seats are allocated automatically and you either accept them or go back to choosing again the stand and hope that seats are different (and not sold out). At least that's how it's been until last season, now with the new website I hope it changes and lets you chose the seats too.

Oh f**k, you're right. Damn, I've been abroad too long, I forgot about friend and family. :blush2:

I really hope the new site will let you choose your seat but I think the update is just cosmetic, maybe one day we will have the luxury that championship teams get.     The friendly against Lyon might be a good test just so you get to know what the process is like even if you’re not actually going to buy you can have a look so you’re prepared for the scramble for the first home game.

Even with the membership it's bleeding hard getting through the VWR to get home tickets away tickets are near on impossible

VWR?

Just as a heads up tickets go on sale at 7am on a certain day. You’ll be placed in the virtual waiting room which after it hits 7 selects people at random so it doesn’t matter what time you join the waiting room. Your odds are slightly better if you have multiple browsers & devices, also good internet connection helps I find.

Nonsense. I've had no trouble with the VWR, i am only there for a matter of seconds before I am boosted through. Lucky me!

He’s lying, if you use multiple devices you have your membership revoked and your legs broken by Romans goons.

Don’t give away the secrets @boomerdog it’s hard enough for us already

Yes, I got it wrong... it's definitely multiple tabs that works, not browsers.

Is it rare to get tickets then? Al use your tips for sure but annoying if you don’t have a great chance of getting them lol

Home matches are generally fine but if we are top of league like in 2015 & 2017 or something it can get ridiculous, last season though it was alright and a lot of games didn’t sell out fast some took a few days. Some games like West Brom, Bournemouth & Huddersfield went on general sale. It’s only really away games that are brutal, I couldn’t get any during the first half of last season but after January I got through for most. Not gonna lie away games are frustrating and if you’re still in the VWR after 15 minutes chances are it’s already sold out. Cup games are fine on the other hand they will usually be on sale for days, Arsenal in the league cup last season was very easy to get tickets for.

I also forgot to say but if you get unlucky for home tickets or you couldn’t get the time to sit in the VWR during mid week there’s almost always some on sale on the ticket exchange so that’s worth keeping an eye on.
