Yeah its very shady, there is no way a a club like City get this level of "commercial business" because they are a small club worldwide

Hardly the friends of the owners. City are owned by the Royal family that rule Abu dhabi. 

Many sponsors are from Abu Dhabi, when the government runs the team I wonder if they were told to get involved.
