As it is, I've addressed them in bold above.  

Put simply, I'm sceptical the bids above were made, or if they were made were as high as stated, with the possible exception of Zouma's.

Willy talked to the Club after Conte was gone and he is here now. And there no way in hell any of us can claim all that unless we are in the higher ups at Chels. As I said Willy himself confirmed it but that clearly is too much an info for some ( not you ). All rumours are hyper BS and coming from twitter.....so silly. In any case imo we were foolish to reject such an offer. Thanks for the links my man.

Chelsea FC plc today announced our annual financial results for the year ended 30 June 2018 with the club once again recording our highest ever turnover figure and a new record-high profit.

The group turnover figure grew to £443.4m from £361.3m in the previous year, an increase of 22.7 per cent, as revenues exceeded £400m for the first time.

The record revenues, as well as a profit on player sales of £113.0m, helped the club achieve a record-high profit for the year, after tax, of £62.0m.

Broadcasting revenues increased by £41.7m to £204.1m, primarily as a result of the club returning to the UEFA Champions League competition in the year.

Stamford Bridge continued to sell out on matchdays and, despite ticket prices remaining frozen at 2011/12 levels, the club’s participation in the Champions League helped achieve an overall increase in matchday revenues of £8.4m in 2017/18.

Revenue from commercial activities grew by £32.0m, following the signing of several partnership deals including with our new official kit supplier, Nike.

Chairman Bruce Buck said: ‘The club has now posted a series of record-breaking revenue figures and our profit margin has increased in consecutive years. This has occurred against a backdrop of varying participation in European football, and different degrees of achievement in the Premier League, which demonstrates we have built a sound business footing to support our on-pitch quest for success.

‘With our matchday income steady, despite not finishing in the top four of the Premier League last season, and our global fanbase increasing, we thank our loyal supporters as well as our hard-working staff and valued partners for helping to make a successful financial year.’

Chelsea FC plc’s ultimate parent company, Fordstam Limited, which is also responsible for the group’s non-footballing operations, reported a consolidated profit of £24.9m for the year.

New toy seems harsh after 15 years, when you get to sell you never know what happens when you Sheikh the tree.

I expect this stand-off may continue due to the UK-Russian impasse and expect Abramovich will sell the club abroad to avoid British authorities if needs be.

 

Even if RA Sells which is very likely if current climate continues, he will sell for a vast number. We wont have issues getting a powerful owner, one that will very likely shake things up and invest heavily. It just must not be a Kroenke type owner like Arsenal......they are suffering big time thanks to him.

Almost laughable to see the club say they’re compliant with FFP when you look at City, PSG and to a certain extent Barca for who FFP is just there to be circumnavigated. 

Match day revenue up £8.4mil because that’s how much the charge for a single bottle of coke now and some mug bought one.

This translates to a possible bid for Willian, not necessarily a bid of 65 million pounds.

I can accept that a bid of under half that might have been made, but even then we'd have to search for a replacement and with the truncated transfer window, the Conte/Sarri saga and the WC limiting transfer activity that would have been more difficult.

In this age and time you cant get Willy for freaking 25M, no Club would sell him like that. It cant have been lower than 45M, no way.

He was just turning 30 when the season started. You pay big money for long contracts. Why would you pay 45M for a player you probably only want contracted for 2-3 years at most?

There may well have been a bid from Barcelona but I'm far from convinced Willian would have wanted to move there. Willian is at an age were he will be planning a future after football, 2018 is the year he would qualify for UK residence if he so wanted to live here permanent. So it is in his own best interest to at least see this year out.

All it would take is for Chels to have accepted the bid and he would have been gone. Play 2 years in barca and take it from there. In any case foolish of us not not sell him when we could.

We should be ok with the prices for food and drink. I stupidly bought a bottle of coke for £3.30 last week and the smallest of mars bars for £1.40. Get 40,000 others to do it and we must rolling in it.
