When I used to go to games years ago and we lost games to the likes of Scarboro and Oxford and York City, of course I was pissed off, but that was what you got used to supporting Chelsea. That we could beat man Utd, or knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup only to get beaten by some lower league team.
But the last 20 years has got supporters out of that kinda mindset. Speaking for myself, I like to think I'm not one of those supporters with a sense of entitlement. I don't expevt us to win trophies every season. But I do expect a level of performance and for us to compete. These last couple of weeks and the Arsenal game in particular where we just didn't turn up are not good enough - nowhere near, and THAT has to change.

Chelsea takeover: How data-led Todd Boehly would maximise youth talent in Stamford Bridge revolution
Todd Boehly will put data at the heart of his Chelsea revolution if his bid to buy the club is successful, with maximising youth talent one of his key visions for the future.

Not only the goals, we could barely transition from defense to attack towards the end of Lampard's tenure - we were bordering on Long Ball FC.

Thought he looked very good again, got a few decent chances. I think he’ll blossom into a world class player in that role.
I just can’t believe how awful the rest of our attackers are. Even Pulisic looks awful. So strange.

    Question was basically
"if Pulisic continued to struggle for game time and if he came to you at the end of the season telling you he's looking for a new challenge, would you stand in his way?" to which Tuchel basically responded
"I hear a lot of 'if's in that question. If Pulisic starts tomorrow, and starts again against Atletico, and scores 2 goals in both matches and keeps going like that for the rest of the season, maybe he'll be captain of the squad next season... I know what you mean but there's no point asking that question right now."

Was it an American journalist who asked it?
Any time that Pulisic doesn't play every game they throw a tantrum

Yeah it wasn't all Kepa, 99% of the blame goes to the person who scouted him for us.

His very first team selection , by his own admission, was entirely picked on perceived reputations and experience - no starting place for Mason you may recall ?
Not sure it’s fair to accuse TT of double standards ?   Given that he is on a relatively short term contract which, as we all know, is dependant and reliant on results, he’s gonna stick with the proven and after 11 games most of us would agree with the team and bench he picks - I can even understand him selecting Kepa v Barnsley and then  v Newcastle - I don’t see him taking ‘chances’ other than those forced on him or calculated and hard won.
I think Tammy has had enough opportunities to showcase himself in matches as have MM and cho, less so Billy, (right now, I wouldn’t pick BG ahead of Jorginho, Kante or Kova) their ‘success’ is evident in their continued selection or not.
I think at times, what clouds our judgement is the ‘one of our own’ sentiment ?

I don't really read any Twitter sh!te about football, but I get the impression the media tide has turned in his favour, especially given the form he has shown under TT.

Spot On re the Americans. Many were inconsolable in Lamps first season if Lamps selected Mount and left Pulicic out. The bile and hatred on social media when their all American boy didn't start games was pityful.
Not sure on the Africans though. Perhaps they're blaming Mount for Mikel not being re-signed?!!

Christ! What does it take to impress you? We need to win each game 4-0 otherwise 'you don't see any improvement'?
What an overly negative summary of Tuchels progress. It's sad to see people like you actually want him (which means ultimately the club) to fail.
Can you not clearly see the progress the club is gradually making? Can't tell if your comments are a parody or sarcastic.

Sadly I think he missed a trick there.

Tbf I did find Gol bloody annoying at times, but I think they should bring him back, I don't think he said anything BAD, he just used to wind people up a lot.

Actually quite taken aback by how humble he seems to be, i watched a fair bit of his BVB/Paris sides but for whatever reason never watched a single interview so kind of naturally assumed he was a spiky character as per his reputation but not a bit of it so far. He seems to talk about players like they're mates aswell Edou, NG, Ney...

Have to admit to being very impressed with Tuchel.
After the sacking of Lamps, I was totally pissed off and think posted on here that the season was over. As much as I support CFC and want them to do well regardless, I will hold my hand up and admit that I wouldn't have cared if the new coach struggled and we slipped further down the table - just to show the club that you can't keep sacking managers the moment things don't quite go according to plan. Even now, I still wish that Lamps had been kept on and given more of a chance to build and get things right. That said, I have to accept that TT has done a whole lot right and not too much wrong so far and every time I see him interviewed, he talks so well, it's hard not to be impressed.
Still early days and I still want to see more attractive football and am slightly puzzled with his constant inclusion of Alonso, but the signs are encouraging and have to admit that I am more confident going into the United fixture than I would have done under SFL.

Can't agree with this. You could make a highlight reel this season rivalling (in quantity) 'great Fabregas passes' consisting of moments in the final third where the right decision or the right pass sets us up with  a wonderful chance. Tuchel's tactics are finding guys in half-spaces with time on the ball, 2 on 1s on the flank - but it all counts for nought if the guy on the ball makes the wrong decision, underhits, overhits, delays the pass etc. And the personnel doesn't matter - Mount, Ziyech, Pulisic, Odoi, Alonso, James, Werner, Tammy are all guilty. What's staggering is the sheer amount of times this has happened this season. The stats will count it as a completed pass, a progressive pass, possession retained - and it hurts us time and time again. We do not have a single world-class player arriving in forward areas. In fact, the only one we've got in the entire squad is a free, 36 year old. You look around at Kane & Son, Sterling,KDB & maybe Foden, Bruno, Sadio Mane et al.,  - not one of our players can touch these currently. I had high hopes for Pulisic after last season but...
No amount of tactical tweaking from Tuchel can fix this either. Here's hoping Havertz gets his act together sooner rather than later because he is head and shoulders above almost everyone in terms of passing in the final third.

Besides being a big fast strong f**ker, Zouma is a crap defender, never had good awareness, concentration or positioning. He always has a mistake in his game because of this.
