Christian Pulisic - Official

Featured Replies

Just in time for the horrors of October and Halloween, I bring back the dead... Up working late this dropped via AP. Reads just like his time here in Chelsea. TBF he's played alright for them since signing. Spooky though how clubs are interchangeable though with players and injury/ international duty.

"AC Milan could be forgiven for being angry with the United States.

Top player Christian Pulisic has come back injured from international duty and although the U.S. winger still has to be fully evaluated by Milan, reports say he could be sidelined for nearly a month.

That would mean Pulisic would not only miss Sunday’s match against Fiorentina but also Serie A matches against Pisa, Atalanta, Roma and Parma as the friendly matches played by the U.S. could cost Milan dearly."

I feel sorry for Pulisic in some sense, he gets criticized heavily by USMNT fans when he plays for them, but then he also invariably gets injured on international duty which pisses off his club fans too.

IMO he is a cautionary tale of a player whose body was wrecked by too many intense minutes at a young age. At this rate he'll be dusted by 30. Given the amount of games played these days I wonder if Yamal or Estevao will still be around at age 25.

Yamal could be done by 25, he is already back fit because they want him to play the El Classico. Maresca has been brilliant with Estevao so far, but the issue we have is he is the best of the lot.

He has been injury-ridden at Milan too. Quite possibly a cautionary tale. Pedri is another. Bizarre report on Pedri:

Pedri underwent a “genetic study of his muscles” last season where it was discovered “he needs to work out daily and rest isn’t good for him.”

Since those tests, Barcelona have played Pedri almost constantly and have seen the midfielder seemingly put his previous injury problems behind him.

Pedri made more appearances than any other Barcelona player last season and, currently at least, looks set to do the same in the current campaign.

Indeed he’s expected to start again on Saturday against Girona, despite playing twice for Spain over the international break,

Pulisic has largely remained injury free at Milan. This latest one is the only serious injury he has had since joining them. He played 50 games in both of his previous 2 seasons.
