Jorginho: 8 - some lovely passing of every kind today especially the two that nestled in the back of the net

 

Callum Hudson-Odoi: 7 - looking to be getting his confidence back 

Kai Havertz: 7 - comfortably strolling around the pitch

Timo Werner: 6 - not liking him out on the left!

Tammy Abraham: 6 - should have at least one goal, lost a point for being a whingeing little child over a penalty!

Frank Lampard: 7 - We scores two goals too many and I lost points in the prediction thread. I blame Frank. 

Crystal Palace: 1 - I’d give them a 0 but it looks too much like a football and I don’t think Palace know what one of those is. 

Finally some positive ratings!

Mendy - 7, kept a clean, wasn't tested enough but he did his job.

Azpilicueta - 7, made fouls of experience to stop counter attacks, did well against Zaha and Eze. Played well in the final third and did well as a defender.

Thiago Silva - 8, showed what he capable of today, great and confident performance.

Zouma - 8, great goal and fantastic performance as a defender. His partnership with Silva is looking great.

Chilwell - 9, MOTM. Simply best on the pitch, finally a LB who has the ability to defend and second half full of attacking moves.

Jorginho - 8, controlling the game, passing ability on the highest level, leader of our possession game.

Kante - 7, had few shaky moments when Crystal Palace had the ball, but still he put his heart into the game, had few drives and passes to keep the possession,

Havertz - 7, quiet performance he played very clever, he tried his best and was involved a lot in the possession game.

Hudson Odoi - 7, he played for the simple game at the beginning of the game, once we scored the first and caught the hunger for more, he was more useful and better.

Werner - 6, still not at his best, he wants to, he has the right motivation but I'm sure his chances will come soon. Wasn't good enough today.

Abraham - 6, had one chance to score and put a nice header but missed the target, same as Werner he worked for the team but wasn't good enough as an attacker.

Subs:

Pulisic - 5, it was great to see him having minutes, having him upgrades us a lot.

Kovacic - 5, not enough time to get a proper but he rewards it like the rest of the team for that win.

 

Frank Lampard - 7, he put a good lineup, our defense finally looked good with Silva and Zouma with a good control behind. He didn't panic with substitutions and showed patience to the team. He played a good part as a manger of the team.

Crystal Palace - 3, the second goal broke them. They played much better against United and Everton, thanks to Chelsea they failed to score and play their game.

Mendy - 6 - An easy day for him today, was only tested once.

Azpilicueta - 7 - Standard Azpi.

Zouma - 7 - Solid from Zouma, a nice a header for his goal too.

Silva - 7 - Commanded the defence, exactly what he was bought in for.

Chilwell - 8 - Got caught out defensively once, but overall, it was an excellent game from him. 

Jorginho - 7 - Kept things ticking.

Kante - 7 - Solid.

Havertz - 7 - Some really nice touches and movement throughout.

Hudson-Odoi - 6 - Decent at times, a bit in and out of the game.

Werner - 5 - Really struggled again on the wing. Hopefully that is the last time he will be required to play there.

Abraham - 5 - Won a penalty, but overall, I thought he had an average game.

 

Pulisic - 5 - Not long after coming on, he linked up well with Werner and set us off on a counter attack. The game was pretty much dead at that point though.

Kovacic - 5 - Not enough time to make much of an impact.

 

Lampard - 8 - Got things right from the start today and just let the players do what they had to do.

Crystal Palace - 2 - They were awful. They only get 2 for the defensive performance in the first half. I'm surprised they gave us so much time on the ball in the middle. One of our weaknesses is being pressured in midfield and defence and Crystal Palace stood off them all game.

 

Edouard Mendy: 6 - Didn't really do much but looked confident and comfortable.

 

César Azpilicueta: 7 - Helped maintain defensive shape and was a solid presence on the pitch.

Thiago Silva: 7 

Kurt Zouma: 7.5 - Really showed up today. Linked up with Silva well.

Ben Chilwell: 8 - Second best player on the pitch today behind Jorginho. Played a smart game with only one mistake I think.

 

N'Golo Kanté: 7 - Nothing spectacular, but looked himself.

Jorginho: 8 - Controlled the game and set the tempo for the team. Made some key passes and was a solid presence in the double pivot.

 

Callum Hudson-Odoi: 6 - Didn't do anything of note, but didn't make many mistakes either

Kai Havertz: 7 - Nearly got an assist. Helped a lot with build-up and was a key guy in the offense. Looking more comfortable.

Timo Werner: 5.5 - Missed a big chance and I'm not sure if I blame him for that considering he was playing out of position and probably lacked comfort, but he definitely needs to played as a striker. Not very effective as a winger.

Tammy Abraham: 5.5 - Didn't look like himself. Seemed a bit distracted at times.

 

Christian Pulisic 6 - Can't wait to see what he does once fully fit and with Ziyech as well. Werner should be leading that line.

Mateo Kovacic - 5.5

 

Frank Lampard: 6 - Didn't do anything much different, just got the player selection right and the players played much better. The 4-2-3-1 still looks a bit too rigid for my liking.

Crystal Palace: 4.5 - Kinda just sat back and defended most of the game. Not sure why they delayed coming onto the pitch so much. Very uninspired.
