March 18, 20215 yr I think as Tuchels team evolves, there will be some big casualties, he wants players that are super comfortable on the ball, AC, TS, Alonso, Kova, Reece (Going Feds), Mount, Havertz, Ziy, Puli, whether they all fit is irrespective, it’s the style, I’ll add Kante to that list, now if our final ball becomes as good as the crisp fast build up play, we will score more. We have to trust more, watch Werner, every time he is in the right position, he is coiled to go, from a vantage point of a TV Screen, you can see the pass, but it rarely gets delivered, we have an almost pathological desire to go wide and create pretty triangles, and the ball into the box is invariably cleared by a defender. Playing as a striker and with age, fortunately you can see what needs to happen, Werner does not fit our play, or he isn’t good enough, in the crowded boxes of the PL.
March 18, 20215 yr I think it’s confidence and self belief more than anything, and I’m not that worried about it. Havertz and Werner will score goals. Mount may contribute more. Cho and Pulisic will also score more regularly. I was just reviewing Benzemas record in Spain. Despite all his experience and ability he had two seasons recently where he scored just 5 and 11 goals but his overall record is more like 18ba season average pretty much a goal every two games overr 11-12 seasons. the guys are young mostly in first or second season. I expect once havertz gets a bit stronger he will start to run the attack and the goals will come.
March 21, 20215 yr Tuchel biggest job without doubt is to get the strikers scoring, watching us play today, we were great at breaking lines, getting to the 18 yd box, then sort of winging it, either the midfield personnel apart from Kante is wrong, because we just don't seem able to service the 9 or 10, i think speeding up the movent in the last area of the pitch, Liverpool were brilliant at this last year, so there is a way.
