Blimey, a little win for Sweden then!

Such a bizarre game from Italy. They fell for the same corner trick every single time. Refereeing in the women's game is quite lax and games are more free flowing - 9 times out of 10 Sweden's corner goals get ruled out in the men's

England ladies 3-0 ahead against China after switching to a back 5.

Bright playing exceptionally well and James unlucky to have 'goal 4' ruled out. James playing very well too.

I also like Hemp, though a City lady very skilful.

Do not like Chinese hair pulling on Russo.

Lauren James, how wow, that smile, oh so good, and with only  3 assists and 2 stunning goals, and had a third wiped for some bonkers offside decision 10/10 display

A fine result for England and two superb goals from Lauren. Like you I thought the offside decision was bonkers. Also daft that Lucy Bronze was booked. Excellent performances from the team. Obviously biased by good to see Niamh Charles come on.

The Chelsea well represented, With Bright and Carter also starting , Fran Kirby would be playing if fit as well?

I think Fran would play. A shame that she is injured. Bright and Carter were solid at the back. Think a back three worked well for England. It's something Emma Hayes has tried for the club. Good to see Millie as captain. I'm of the view that a captain of a football team should be a defender or a defensive midfielder as they can read what is happening on the pitch. Not convinced that a striker can do the same.

Yea Millie or Lucy would have been my choice, the manager does like to mix it up though, WSL top scorer, right back, lol??

England will miss Kirby in the latter stages of the tournament. James is the only player with confidence in tight spaces but she is nowhere near on the same level as Kirby when it comes to actually finding a pass.

Carter was excellent on the ball against Haiti, and with Walsh out I think it would be sensible to go to three-at-the-back rather than trying to shoehorn a midfielder. Though, given England could play Australia in the next round, i'd prefer Lauren James on the bench and Sarina Wiegman herself as player-manager at DM.
