(As you'd probably expect given my drinking habits) I'm a huge Pogues fan. Red Roses for Me and Rum, Sodomy and the Lash are two of my favourite albums ever. What a f**king blow.

Rest in peace. I'll be raising many a glass tonight. 

    As I had seen all the posts on social media recently and how frail he looked, this news wasn't unexpected (like Terry Hall was last year), but still very sad.

    RIP Shane.

    Went to see the Pogues back in the day at Brixton academy yet he was ill and the front man from the clash stood in.

    This is an exceptional anti-war song - And the band played Walzting Matilda.
