It was @dappersteph, hopefully this doesn’t ruin things for her after all the ball ache of getting tickets etc.

It's a bloody farce. Talk about mucking people about. Am at Kingsmeadow on Friday and will sound out what others think. If the men beat Leeds on 28 February and are then drawn at home on that weekend will the Council and police allow two games to take place or on consecutive days or within a few days of each other.

Maybe the Women’s team should play their games in their home stadium. I hate going to Stamford Bridge now I’ve been spoiled with the ease of Kingsmeadow!

It will be interesting how many fans ask for refunds if the game is switched. With all the uncertainties over the date it won't give fans much time to change plans. As for all games being played at Kingsmeadow I know if divides opinion. Some prefer the atmosphere at Kingsmeadow but with the women's game becoming more popular is it big enough. Going to be a challenge for the club especially if the Bridge is ever redeveloped. If the men and women play all their league matches at the Bridge that's thirty league matches plus all the cup and European games there could be fifty in total. Not sure if the police, residents and council will allow that. Decisions, decisions.

Kingsmeadow rarely sells out. I think it’s only the City game this season that’s sold out.
 

The Stamford Bridge games this season don’t seem to have done anywhere near as well as last season either. The Women’s game is more family oriented so midweek games evening are always going to struggle to attract a crowd.

Good points. Strange that attendances at the Bridge are down from last year especially as this is Emma's last season and the team is doing well in all competitions. I know it's a top of the table clash this Friday but I wonder if it's a sell-out as it's school-half.

Thanks for remembering @Munkunku! Luckily I'm arriving the morning of the 13th, but the friend in London I'm going with works Mon-Fri so Friday night is less ideal.

Does anyone know what could happen based on the Emirates FA Cup Quarterfinal? And why this has been moved from Sunday to Friday?

I'm already bummed Jessie has gone to Portland, although as a Portland fan and a Canadian, I've had to book a trip to Portland to see her and Sinc play. 😉 So that'll be June. I'm hoping Janine Beckie will be well enough to see her too! Damn ACLs.

@Munkunku @Boyne So if I understand correctly, if men's Chelsea wins on Wed vs Leeds, there will be a draw taking place on the weekend while will determine their next FA Cup game which will affect when the CHE ARS game is? Trying to book tickets to a show but want to know the timeline for the game before I do so. TIA!

Honestly I just don’t know anymore. This is why sharing a stadium is a bad idea - just play the Women’s games at Kingsmeadow and invest in that stadium.

As someone who just attended a record-setting women's hockey game where 19,285 fans filled our men's team's arena, I can understand what they're doing. It was absolutely electric and very emotional for players and spectators alike. I've been following women's hockey for 25 years and while I've been to many international games of that size, this is the first time a club team has come anywhere close to that number. But anyway, it sounds as though there are logistical issues there that aren't the same here. But based on what Boyne said, hopefully we'll have a better idea as of next weekend which is fine, the week-of tickets for Wicked don't go on sale until Mar 6th.

There’s an issue with the match timings that doesn’t effect the men’s team; a lot of the people attending the Women’s games are families with kids that aren’t going to be at a match on a school night.

Last season we had early afternoon league games with close to 40k in attendance. This season the timings have been weekdays/Sunday evenings and the crowd numbers are significantly lower. If the Arsenal game doesn’t get moved again it’d be interesting to see the attendance figures.

I’m all for growing the women’s game but it’s a marathon not a sprint.

I think it will, as I doubt they will want both teams on the pitch in less than 24 hours (or the same weekend) from each other! I may be wrong but am sure thats the drill!

I'd expect some info from the club tomorrow!

Can the mens match still be moved for tv etc. though? Surely they’ll just stick it on Sunday.

Gosh I hope so, this is stressing me out! We've already lost Jessie (one of my big draws to coming) and Sam.

I 'think' you might be alright for Friday night, it's probably banking on now that the men's game is moved to the Sunday!

Ah ok thanks! Friday is a little better for me - Sunday is my coworker's 30th birthday party (she's from London and coming home for her mom's 60th and her own 30th was last week!) - and I'm leaving Monday AM so we shall see! I should then get the notification about printing my tickets right? (I can't believe they're not digitized yet!)

It’s so many days before the match so if you login, you should be able to print them off now?

Yeah I heard 18 days but now I can't seem to figure out how to get my tickets. It told me to register for the app and I did and there's nothing there. Do you know the web link? @Boyne @Munkunku

I have tickets but it will be your own link at the end of the URL I think, so can't add my link! It will be on an email shortly after your time of purchase and starts with https://print.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?

Ah thank you so much! There have been so many emails since I bought them in October. Much gratitude. In Canada we just use Ticketmaster for everything so this process is very foreign (and, I admit, archaic!) to me!
