ethicalstrategy
Seems as if the Pilsbury Dough Doy is getting fed up with his team underachieving. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/ ... 837967.ece "the turbulence within Anfield threatens to escalate over the weeks and months ahead after Rafael Ben?tez laid bare his frustrations with the club?s hierarchy." "There was withering criticism of Rick Parry, the chief executive, with whom a difficult working relationship will now be more strained than ever" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1779 "Rafa Benitez on Thursday warned Liverpool: Buy the players I want now or I?m off" Nice to read about something other than internal turmoil at Chelsea! Pauly
Though his comments have absolutely nothing in common with the article, i will find it very interesting to see what type of players he signs (and sells!). I've heard both stories- the owners said that he has said he needs 'more depth' to challenge at this level. I hope what that means is that he signs real players and bellamy and pennant become "the depth". they would be good depth!

dkw
so, does this constitue an attempt to "buy the league". or is it a classy attempt to finance an incredible history... fat tosser.
abramovich
Isn't it ironic that the very same scousers who were the most vocal about us "buying the league" are now attempting to do the very same at the expense of their new American owners?

Will be interesting to what Liverpool fans say if their team do indeed go on a massive spending spree then win the league next year. Probably come up with excuses like 'Oh well you started it you big bullies so ner' or 'We didnt buy it, cos we've got historeeee'
