Posted June 16, 200717 yr Further to my post in the holiday thread, I thought I'd see if anyone (maybe the US blues?) have any idea about how to get tickets for this game, as I will luckily be in California for those two weeks. At the moment, it seems the Galaxy are only selling a package deal for all the games, but presumably they will sell individual tickets at some point? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Tim.
June 16, 200717 yr Tim a mate of mine is going and has got a sideline? ticket for $125-00 which covers both games on the day, all I know there are a group going out but I will try to find out where he got his ticket!! Cheers Steve
June 16, 200717 yr Author Thank Steve that'd be really, really helpful if you could find out. Girlfriend lives in San Francisco so can sort it out easily enough if we know what to do, but not sure she's on the ball enough at the moment and to not go would be f*cking ridiculous given how nearby I will be.
June 16, 200717 yr Search the Ticketmaster site. Ticketmaster for individual matches. If your going to be in San Fran there is a match in Palo Alto which is near by.
June 17, 200717 yr Tim the match in Palo Alto is at Stanford here is the ticket info. as posted by MHedges previously. http://gostanford.cstv.com/tickets/tickets-body.html Good luck.
June 17, 200717 yr there's a great website called stubhub.com where individual ticket owners bid out their tickets if they don't want to attend the match. i scored an incredible few deals on hockey and baseball games already this year in New York and California. a quick search showed some possibilities under the Galaxy page (http://www.stubhub.com/los-angeles-galaxy-tickets/) and under the Chelsea page (http://www.stubhub.com/chelsea-fc-tickets/). good luck.
June 18, 200717 yr That should be some trip!!! Personally I will be watching it in the wee small hours, live on Chelsea TV. All the pre-season games...2 months subscription...?12.
June 18, 200717 yr Tim my mate got his ticket through the official site, they got a group rate as 23 are going. They could not get a ticket for just one game you have to buy a ticket which covers both games on the day!! Cheers Steve
June 18, 200717 yr Author Really kind for all the help, cheers all. Will get on it today and fingers crossed all will be ok..
June 20, 200717 yr was really trying to get to some of these games, was going to go to the one at Stanford and meet some of the posters on here...Mhedges and NickW, but alas it is a busy time for work, and I can't get the time off
June 20, 200717 yr Author Tickets for the LA game have been booked!! Thanks for all the help everyone, VERY excited about this. Will start working on the Stanford game. How do you convince a girlfriend that watching Chels is a better option than a romantic break to Napa....
