clubhappy
After the Birmingham game , myself and Marc were in our usual spot inside the Chelsea hotel reception waiting on the players . While waiting i spotted Peter Bonetti at the entrance so it was camera at the ready for yours truely . Anyway , what a nice man he is , was very friendly , brief chat , shake of the hand and photo. Anytime he says with a big smile . Not too many players coming through , a few stopped , a few didnt , a bit disappointing but there only human. We were the only 2 people left and ready to go when Terry walks out . Heading in another direction with his back to us , Marc yells ''.JT.'' , He turned around , saw him , and came back . Marc was completely star struck . Terry puts his hand out , shakes hands , he asks Marc his name , where he's from and signs an autograph . Marc being a cheeky bugger asks for a photo . Terry puts his bag down , stands beside him , shakes his hand and says ''Is that ok mate '' Photo taken. Thanks says Marc , No problem says Terry . John Terry made his trip complete and his attitude , reaction and courtesy towards a young 13 year old speaks volumes about the man. Words cant describe how good it made us both feel . BackInBlue
Top man that JT is. We sure are privileged to have such a great captain leading us.
Barn
I had a similar experience with JT at the races. I think I've told it before but seeing as it adds weight to what you're saying about what a top bloke he is I'll tell it agian. I was on a work jolly and JT, Scottie Parker and Wayne Bridge were there. Being the only Chelsea fan in the office I was completely buzzing, I stood and had a chat with the three of them (Parker wasn't really joining in because he had a lot of money riding on the race that had just started), really friendly and seemed happy enough to chat. They all had photo's done but the one with JT I later found out didn't come out at all, I went back and asked him for another one - by this stage aware that I was probably being a bit of a pain. But he was only too happy, then he even gave my brother a call in Australia (on my mobile though!), stupidly little bro was pissed up and didn't notice his phone ringing. Top bloke, and much more grown up than when he called me a prick aged 18 in a bar in Romford!!!

Gem
Had a similar experience myself after the Man City game two seasons ago, he spoke to everyone in the room for at least a couple of minutes. Adults, children, male, female... everyone. He asked me if I enjoyed the game, and we had a minute or so chat. Didn't have a camera, but he happily signed an autograph and was genuine throughout. Just made the day complete really. Same with Lamps by the way, talked to everyone, posed for pictures, signed autographs, showed off Luna... Oh and of course I had a wonderful conversation with Elen, have I mentioned that before? My dad, who isn't easily impressed and always tends to see the worse in people... said he was highly impressed with both of them. In a game full of designer ego's... the two players who seemingly 'represent' the club, show how down to earth they are.
callista
Jose says JT will be back for the Liverpool game on Sunday, seems like a great guy and we need his leadership.
