We're back...

Though we never left.

Serie A is going to be f**king cracking this year, and with too many touches looking at the floor tevez leading utd, rooney injured, and chelsea's 442 clueless, i'm frankly looking forward far more to seeing roma and milan play particularly this season.

Juve, and more importantly, RAnieri interviews are back, Fiorentina last night drew 1-1 with milan with mutu scoring, Roma lead the league joint with Juve- Inter have signed Chivu and Ibrahimovic is unstopable (though they have a similar problem to chelsea with great strikers and a flat midfield) and there is a reasonable claim for the first time in a while for a return to the 90's of 5 or 6 quality sides.

More importantly- Juve win 3-2 on the weekend, twice breaking an equaliser from cagliari with camoranesi coming in at half time and playing the best 45 minutes of his career- buffon doing his best impression of banks or that time somebody made that amazing save from Flo's header..

how do you load youtube videos into the page?

In any case that video misses the two highlights of the game which were zebina slapping a TV-steward in the face after being sent off and Buffon running to the crowd and motioning that he apparently has very big balls. And ranieri's subsequent interview:

Interviewer: What was buffon saying to the crowd?

CR: Looks blankly at the interviewer: "He was saying we have two balls like this." A Long pause from everybody... Claudio still looking stupidly at the camera... just one of his eyes seems to move to one side. "we have two footballs (at the club)"

aaaahaha

idiot.

In any case- ronaldo's back- roma have signed giuly, chivu's in inter... it's looking top quality to me.

ps. another nice moment in a cagliari-juve game:

I wouldn't bet on that...

Ok they aren't comparable to Milan yet or even Roma or Inter but it's a side full of winners you only had to see Buffon on the weekend to see that- the man is rabid in the net! They will compete with Inter for fourth icon_wink.gif

heh... sorry liam i missed that one.

I'm undecided as yet as to whether he'll be a success there- success being overcoming milan and in doing well the CL next season, i haven't seen a full match of theirs yet. I love that he has signed Tiago- there's a top player waiting to happen there. Mika next? I wish him all the best! I think the amount of winners in that side is really going to help him and compliment his eye for talent and squad building and perhaps lack of a true winners mentality himself- in any case i think he'll give their side a distinctive personality (step up sh*t-merchants with bad jokes). viva cr

Siena 0 - 3 Roma

Roma quality from back to front- See Aquilani with the first goal, who will probably be the man to play 'behind' the strikers for us against france, Giuly scores the second with Roma suffering a little and Totti with the third. This weekend we have the frightening prospect of a Panucci recall to the national side- which would be fine if he was playing right back.. but with the retirement of nesta, and cannavaro and materazzi injured our side will probably look like:

....................Buffon.....................

.....................................................

Oddo....Panucci..Barzagli..Zambrotta

....................................................

...............Pirlo...Gattuso.................

....................................................

...................Aquilani.......................

.....................................................

......Camo...................Del Piero.......

....................Inzaghi.......................

though cannavaro has a chance of playing... toni is injured.. inzaghi will have a difficult time alone up forward but then he's inzaghi..

all in all, i expect a 0-0 draw especially if france play it the same way they did in the final and focus on marking pirlo and aquilani.
