Backbiter
Many of us used to play first and foremost for the manager."Now we need to forget those feelings and find another source of motivation How about, er, the club, or, er, the supporters? Have you given any thought to them? Keep searching for that motivation, Drogs - it might come in handy if you want to win anything. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1779 No, he didn't say what the headline claimed, but still.... Lofty
Noticed this comment at the bottom: The way Drogba's mouth is moving, he would soon leave by mutual agreement. Whatever that means.- Tutu, Boras Sweden A bloke from Sweden wearing a tuto. Well whatever next.
bjd
If I see any player giving anything less than 100% today simply because the manager has left, then I will be very, very disappointed. The biggest crime a footballer can commit in front of his own fans is not trying. If Drogs wants motivation he should look at his payslip.
Backbiter
That point about trying reminds me of a quote I've used at work to try and boost motivation: ?The worst thing in life is when you don't try.? The person who said it? Some Portuguese guy who used to work in London. Currently unemployed. Drogs should remember that. And that football is a team game in whcih you play for your teammates. ethicalstrategy
be fair to the bloke, one of the few players who shows passion on the pitch along with lamps and terry Agee 100% On saturday he was captain after JT went off and he really tried to lift the team and the crowd. Whatever he may have said and whatever anyone might say about other aspects of his game he really cannot be criticised for lack of effort.
Backbiter
Good to hear that. He's a crucial player for us and his effort in a blue shirt has always been above criticism. I just don't like reading that he now has to 'search for motivation' with Jose gone.
