  1. I think Barry's point is our we perceived to be favourites on the outside to win the premier league and/Or Champions league. I don't think we are the favourites to win either however certainly in the premier league we are viewed as probably being just behind Man City, given what they have done over the last few years and given that THEY are the current English Champions. Champions league wise i think people view us as being able to beat absolutely anyone on our day and because WE are the current champions and given the demise of Barca, Real Madrid. Then i feel we again are probably seen as quite possibly 2nd favourites among a lot of people to Retain our title. So yes for the first time in years thanks to some good transfer business, Franks faith in and development of Youth and bringing in a couch who has proven he had the experience that Frank probably did not have at the time to mould and bring it all together, We are now in a position we haven't in since Jose's second season of his second spell here. I haven't been here for a while but i am sure we are all aware that our toughest test will be the breaking down and taking of chances that we faltered under last season so badly, even under tuchel. The early signs so far have been good, We do look to have an extra bounce in our step and the signing of Lukaku is without a doubt for the first time in a long long time, guaranteed goals. Havertz looks like he is so so much more settled in and you are really starting to see him influence things. those two players in particular could be the ones to look out for come the end of the season. But Alas it is early and i have not forgot those struggles to break down the opposition, including in an FA final may i add. We are in a good place, lets ride the wave and see what happens
  2. First 30 thought we looked great, sharp yet patient. However despite the win I feel most would feel a little disappointed. We allowed them a few openings and once again were far far from being clinical. Same story for the past 12 months. Plus points kante and zouma were immense. Tammy scored and Mendy continuing to be an assured presence at the back.
  3. Christensen shouldn’t be anywhere near a Chelsea squad. Very disappointed in the lack of faith in tomori
  4. id keep mikel in the makelele role, i think its perfect for him although he does have more to offer than makelele with his range of passing and attacking play id have essien ballack and lampard infront of him on the central midfield spot. and IMO its one of ballack, essien and lamps missing out in midfield rather than mikel
  5. England is england for me, ok they have been sh*te for ages but its the country i live in and if i had the choice between the CL and WC id go for World Cup probaly cos we have a better chance of winning the CL that the current england team do have of winning anything
  6. i fcuking hate west ham, as simple as that if he managed them or tottenham id be devastated
  7. i dunno about sheva, the man was the worlds very top striker until he came to us, maybe just maybe big phil can give us a style of play that suits his game him and drogba working in tandem with the likes of deco, joey cole, ronaldinho ? robinho ? ballack. lampard etc would be mouthwatering
  8. was reading this article, i thought it would bring up some good points about the two different sports of tennis and football however it seems to me this bloke patrick collins is another lampard hater, please read it makes the blood boil ! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1...ls-pockets.html is it me or is he just havin a pop at frank rather than talking about what he was supposed too ? Tosser licking Stevie G arse as usual
  9. if we really are interested in buying deco then surely Roman would have a word in Big Phil's ear, arshavin looks like a class act any one else here gutted modric is going to spurs ? he'll last about one season if they dont make the CL then he can come to us :)
  10. shows the character of the bloke, we all commended on the loss of lamps and the character he had, losing a child im guessing is even worse at least franks mum lived a full life, fair play i wanted germany to win euro 2008 because of ballack but now i have reason for the netherlands RIP
  11. no thanks mate, instead of putting his head down like the rest of the squad he chose to mouth off and in the biggest game of the clubs history, the biggest game of MY clubs history his ego got the better of him he has no exscuse his 30 years old, and after that night he can well and truly piss off we can get a decent price for him so we should cash in on him
  12. We've again been linked with spalletti http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 34,00.html i totally forgot about him as a candidate, i'd prefer him over the likes of mancini, scolari and co. his proved his a top manager and has done well with the resources he has had at udinese and now roma who are 300 million in debt
  13. hughes i dont mind, rijkaard would be my preferred option however it's about time somelike mark hughes was given a chance to manage a top club and not go for foreign coaches all the time. If only he wasnt welsh Ps. how ironic would it be if Claudio wins seria A next season, can't see it happening but you never know
  14. its got to be rijkaard however i wouldn't mind giving keano a chance he done well with that team at sunderland, on paper they really should of gone down, only bad point is his transfer dealing some bad and expensive buys
  15. drogba can piss off, he thinks he is bigger than the club, great player, but a total tosser probaly one of the dumbest players we have ever had at the club, mouthy, diving cheat and to get himself sent off in the champions league final over nothing is quite pathetic, his quotes in the media have showed a complete lack of respect for chelsea and his team mates, good riddens to the c**t
  16. i've also read his autobiography and again hitting his wife etc was wrong but i simply feel the bloke is mentally unstable and reading the book it seems he always has been. in his child hood up to the present time he says he has been traumitised but death to people around, and alcohol it seems was his way of getting throught it but now he is no longer as rich and famous as he once was he seems to have no purpouse in life. someone who it seems has always not been mentally stable however always had football to get him through as his goal but now however it seems as thought he has nothing to go out and do something that is worth doing and for a geezer like himself if its not worth it he isnt going to do it
  17. started more games than any other player this year, 43 in total, the next best is essien with 36, seems to me he has just hit a wall, that 10 days after the last prem game of the season to the CL final will come in handy
  18. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... 112219.ece the suns ratings - A.cole got a 5 stevie g got a 7 for his battling display apart from that fair enough ratings
  19. agreed, essien will be put at rb so lampard can slot back into midfield with ballack got a feeling mikel will keep his spot otherwise same team that played against man u
  20. phil thompson, biggest twat of all time
  21. i actually quite like it, old school shirt would be great tho
  22. because the radio is wrong, if there is one person in our team who isnt going to collapse from exhaustion it is michael essien
