was reading this article, i thought it would bring up some good points about the two different sports of tennis and football however it seems to me this bloke patrick collins is another lampard hater, please read it makes the blood boil !

yawn...the guy's hatred of chelsea just makes for another bitter rant...that's not to say he doesn't make a few fair points, but one couldn't help but feel his anger is at all things chelsea rather than lamps

But at the moment, Lampard isn't helping himself. He and players like Ronaldo are fair game at the moment. One seems to quibble over £10,000 a week and an extra year, whilst the other agrees he is a slave. With all the credit crunch, rising prices and such in England... its no wonder people are getting pissed off with footballers and their "demands".

Now of course, neither they, nor us, know the real situation with either player, but you can see why people are getting pissed off.

collins is a moron. hes a massive chelsea hater and takes any opportunity to get digs in. hes an absolute hypocrite and a moron.

The major problem I have with Patrick Collins is number of occasions he actually goes out of his way to deliberately paint anybody or anything relating to Chelsea in a bad light. He simply cannot help himself, even when the opportunity to choose a more obvious target [in this case Ronaldo] stares him in the face. Of course, Ronaldo plays for United and Collins therefore exempts him from the uncontrolled bile he unleashes on Frank and merely refers to him as being ‘daft and deluded’.

To most fair minded journalists [without an axe to grind] this is akin to your old fashioned moralistic headmaster letting off the insufferable prig of a pupil because his Dad happens to be a member of your particular Board of Governors and then promptly giving one of the most dedicated boys in any class you care to name a ritual beating for no other reason than it gives you personal pleasure every time [and there have been many] that you do it.

A glance at all the other recent articles by Collins listed on the page reveals the fact that he gets writer’s block when it comes to the little winker, even when he is the centre of attention worldwide and every other journalist has had a field day on his attitude, personality and character defects. Collins? Well, daft and deluded will do, anymore than that means he’s got less space to get stuck into Frank.

Worse still [in terms of journalism] is that he doesn’t realise how stupid it makes him look in the eyes of his peers. Hugh McIlvanney, for example, has written superbly on the whole shooting match of topics from Blatter/Ronaldo/Calderon/ to Lampard/Mourinho/Scolari and all in one piece without pussyfooting around anything related to Manchester United, as if it were sacrosanct. Read and learn, Patrick, because that’s what real journalists do, and then you might just begin to understand why others are laughing at you behind your back.

I agree with that 100%.

An honourable mention should go to Steve 'Fergies whore' Curry btw when discussing those with nothing good to say about Chelsea.

But however bad these guys are to us, you have to say that in recent years we have not given them ammunition.

Oh yeah no doubt about that and as others have said Frank isnt making things easy on himself either.

But it was just so predictable that Collins was going to write that article. Ive got no issues with hacks taking a pop but i just ask its done in a fair manner and in the case of Collins it never happens. He is just so blinkered it makes him look bad at his job.
