I was watching the Man City v. Aston Villa, and the Man City v. Blackburn games last night on DVR. Wow, is all I can say about the pace and the ball delivering talent that Petrov played with. Not knowing anything about his price, or current contract, but I think he would look good in Chelsea Blue.

He's been pretty crap for villa for a long time, but he has a bit of class, just needs to show it more often. Not good enough for Chelsea though imo

he's amazing on set pieces. Not sure if Sven would let go of him, from what i hear, Bianchi is set to leave the prem and go back to Italy.

yeah, but steven ireland is pretty good too, and british :offtopic:

He has some serious issues he needs to sort out.

Petrov has been good for a few years and I wouldn't mind seing him at Chelsea. But we already have Cole, Sweepy and Malouda (and maybe Kalou) as wingers so we don't really need another one. But maybe we can trade Sweepy for Petrov? City seems to want him icon_wink.gif

nah, he just lied badly to cover up a miscarriage... no biggie

B) being english or british is no advantage.

Sure it is. It means he has less chance of wearing an alice head band icon_wink.gif

Petrov has been one of the players of the early season for sure. He reminds me of Robben at his best for us. Would definitely be a starter for us if he came, but man City would fall apart (in an attacking sense) if they were to lose him.

Cheers,
