Arsenal v Blackburn

Featured Replies

Nice to watch for the neutral but for Arsenal supporters it must do your head in!! They knocked it around well and must have had about 70% of the posession last night, but they overplay it more often than not. It's the 11 a-side equivalent of watching Joe Cole beat a man with a step-over, then go back and try to beat him again, just for the sake of it. How many times has 'for f**k sake someone pull the trigger'' or ''hit it'' rung out around the Emirates this season?

They do seem to have good striker options at the moment though and will be even better off when Van Persie returns icon_sad.gif

when they're not trying to bash each other PDT_box.gificon_lol.gif

when they're not trying to bash each other

this is what anoyed me about that. adebayor was and is their only front line striker at the moment. they wouldnt have won all the games they have without him. when he headbutted his own player, which is assault by the way, he should have got a 3 or 4 match ban at least. bowyer and dyer got about that for their little battle. yet the fa chose to just completely ignore it.

Bit like the time Kezman got a coin in the eye from a West Ham fan and we got a fine for failing to control the crowd. A few weeks later a fans runs on the pitch at 3point lane and swings a right-hander at Lampard and no action is taken.

The FA is full of silly old w**kers who make it up as they go along.

You could say the same about Drogba.

erm we almost beat our record number of games won in a row without him 300.gif

Every single year the stock market gets good returns someone comes out and says "but if you take out this and that industry then the return isn't so flash", same goes for football. I'm sure Arsenal fans said the same thing about us and Drogba at times last season, or C.Ronaldo and Man Utd. So ultimately its a pretty poor excuse for losing..........

erm ,what? no idea what your on about.

He was saying that while Arsenal are very dependant on Adebayor for goals, we are very dependant on Drogba.

i think weve proven since we lost drogba and lampard, our two main goal getters, that we arent as reliant as we once were. we havent scored bags of goals, but weve won games we wouldnt have last season if wed been without them.

I agree, but theres no doubt we've played quite a few matches this season where we dominated in central midfield and should have put the opposition away far far earlier than we did.

your right qaz, but with anelka now at the club i think were a lot better equipped to handle losing drogba, lampard etc.

I like Anelka, I think his a good signing for us, but alas, he is no Drogba...........

Drogba is the only quite possibly the only player in the world who could have shined the way he did in the difficult role we gave him.

i agree that anleka is no drogba, but hes a hell of a lot better than the options we had last season when missing drogba. therefore, were better equipped to play without drogba.

Agreed.

There is no doubt our strikeforce is better from Anelka's inclusion
