Posted April 9, 200817 yr I am one of the biggest Malouda bashers on the forum, but I must say that he looked very good out there for the 20 minutes or so that he played in the 2nd leg against the Turks.
April 9, 200817 yr Author Oh, you are right, but he did get a lot of touches and had a nice shot on goal.
April 10, 200817 yr He is actually a player that I really hope we give a chance to. I think he is a great talent, and showed some of that at the begining of the season. After his injury he just hasn't looked the same (a la Duffer). I just hope we keep him for at least one season and give him a run. However, if he starts mouthing off about going back to France in the summer, then I say let him go. He has not done enough to warrant saying anything against the club or that he should be starting Scott
April 10, 200817 yr Unless either his workrate and effort picks up dramatically or he takes a large pay cut to compensate for his lack of application, i'd like to see him sold regardless of his supposed abilities.
April 11, 200817 yr I doubt very much that you just waltz onto the French national team without some form of pedigree. Lets be honest, we have a manager who is clueless and therefore might not be getting the best out of Malouda. I think we should give him another year. Imagine if we had been so dismisive of Drogba his first year (who wore the same number in his first year) as we have been of Malouda? The bloke has talent, I think he should be given the chance to show us it. However, should he start being mouthy...sell him!
