Wasnt sure which section this was supposed to go in but here goes.

Im thinking of heading over for the Roma game , Ryanair flights for myself and young lad work out at €4.00 returning the following day . i've never flown Ryanair so surely there has to be a catch somewhere , €4.00 ??

Has anybody here flown with them ? It just sounds too good to be true .

Oh yeah, how far is Gatwick from Fulham Broadway , or am i better flying to Stanstead ? Which is nearest ?

Cheers.

Once you go through the booking procedure you will probably find airport taxes put onto the price but you will get those taxes on all carriers so it won't make any difference. €4.00 sounds believable - I have flown Prestwick to London a few times for £1 each way (plus about £30 in taxes)

Gatwick is the easier of the two.

Stansted has the Stansted express which takes you into Liverpool Street (about 45 minutes) and you then have to get from Liverpool St over to Fulham via the tube.

However from Gatwick I am 99% sure you can catch a train to somewhere like Clapham Junction and get on the underground there and you will be in Fulham much quicker.

oh and p.s. as for how Ryanair are they are like mist budget airlines - cramped! However it is only a short flight so no need to pay top dollar for a few extra inches (said the priest to the choirboy)

I fly with Ryanair alot albeit mostly between Sweden and England and have never had any problems apart from the odd delay of an hour or so. At Dublin airport it's a hell of a walk to the Ryanair departure barrack from the check-in if I remember right.

Probably easiest and cheapest is, as Loz said, Gatwick, I would go straight into Victoria and take the tube to down to SB saves you getting wet.

Ryanair are pretty good. You get what you pay for but it's best not to delay as every ticket sold ups the price of the next one available. The Stanstead express is cheaper than the Gatwick one although you can get a coach to Central London Victoria which is a lot cheaper.

Best to have some travel insurance in case there are delays - I'm not sure that Ryan Air are more likely to be delayed than other airlines but if there is a problem being a no frills airline they wont go out of their way to help you or compensate you and if the plane is late you could miss the game.

Hope it all goes well - enjoy!

have booked the same flights, got them for 12 euro return!! flying into gatwick is handy, you get the train from the airport to clapham junction and change there for another train that takes you to west brompton station which is 10 mins walk from the bridge. a return train ticket is about £9.
