best and worst Chelsea kits

Featured Replies

1964 65 was brilliant, was that butka ? , and all that adidas turn out now. Worst that minging Chelsea collection rubbish! Did le coq sportif not want us anymore after hysel ? And i thought that the orange and grey thing was quite innovative

I thought the 1970 kits, both home and away, were excellent. Also really liked the Embassy Regal away kit.

The red/white/green away kit in the early 70's was f*ckin' awful, hated seeing us play in red.

I hate any red in our kit, home or away, if the club really wanted to pay tribute to the pensioners then they could quite easily incorporate something into the badge, or even revert to our old nickname, but please, please, please no more red in our kit. Royal blue, white, yellow when needed, that'd do me.

there used to be a shop in Camberwell Green that used to specialise in Chelsea kits, it was rare at the time for people to have them, and of course there was always Frank Blunstone sports

And Millets! I remember my mum getting me the away kit with the CFC script badge she had to sew on. Unfortunately the CFC was white on blue! Looked odd on a yellow shirt!

i liked the old umbro kit with the umbro trim down the sleeves and the side of the shorts, been trying to get the shirt for years, but havent been able to find one.i think it was around 77/78 season..............

Frank Blunstone's was like a mecca back then, I had a cousin who lived in Clapham and when I was over there we'd walk to Battersea just to go and look at the kits. There was another good one in Brixton, under the railway bridge going towards Kennington and the 1st left had a row of shops under the railway, can't remember the name of it now though, and one more in South Wimbledon on the right going towards the Chase, all gone now though I'd imagine.

Just google earthed it and that's the place in Brixton, I remember the building in the middle of the road, only a 5 minute walk from my dad's in Stockwell.
