  1. I can see only one winner, and it won't be Chelsea!
  2. Sutton United v Burgess Hill Town Having negotiated one tricky hurdle away to FC Romania in the previous round, Sutton face another in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup tomorrow when they entertain Burgess Hill Town, who are already threatening to turn Division One South of the Ryman League in to a procession. Ten points clear at the top of the table, they are unbeaten competitively so far this season and are bringing a run of twelve consecutive league and cup victories to Gander Green Lane, a run which began with a victory against Eastbourne Town in the preliminary round of the FA Cup at the end of August. They have subsequently knocked out Croydon and Fleet Town, and most recently progressed in the Robert Dyas Isthmian League Cup on Tuesday away to Redhill. The danger men look likely to be experienced former Horsham and Whitehawk striker Pat Harding, leading scorer in each of his four seasons with Burgess Hill, and youth team product Greg Luer, who scored twice at Fleet and also hit both goals in last week's impressive win at Guernsey. Sutton take a good recent FA Cup record in to the game, having reached the first round in four of the six seasons in which Paul Doswell has been manager, and overcame Sussex opposition at this stage last season when Jamie Slabber's goal was enough to win at Lewes. Burgess Hill are looking to equal their best FA Cup performance, which came in 1999 when they reached the 4th qualifying round and lost to Hereford.
  3. Sutton United v Concord Rangers Show your Chelsea season ticket at the gate and an Adult admission will be just £5, Concessions/Juniors £1 (season ticket valid for one person only) No need to book, just turn up on the day.
  4. Yep, 0-0 Chelsea did have some very good chances hitting the post twice. Not a great game, Sutton did not have a strong side out and it showed.
  5. Sutton v Chelsea preview 11th July 2014 The new look Gander Green Lane will get its first public showing tomorrow when Sutton entertain the Chelsea Under-21 team that won the Under-21 Premier League last season. It will be the second consecutive season that U's have played the young Chelsea team, and a year ago Sutton gave a good account of themselves until conceding a soft goal just before half time, after which Chelsea eased away to a 4-0 win. As well as the new-look ground, which includes a squared-off Collingwood end, tomorrow will be the first chance for home supporters to see the summer signings that Paul Doswell has made. Admission is £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £2 for Under 16s, and season tickets are valid. There will be a turnstile reserved for those who have already bought tickets for the game.
  6. Don't forget the Sutton United v CHELSEA game today! 3pm KO.

  9. Yeah, I miss the old grounds. The modern stadiums lack charm.
  10. I would think it was the date that Chelsea had free. However it will attract a larger crowd being a Saturday and their first pre season game. You will find Sutton's ground had a facelift since your last visit!

We are delighted to announce that we can confirm a home friendly against Chelsea's Under-21 side at Gander Green Lane on Saturday 12 July, kick off 3pm.
