Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) 29/12/13 KO 16:00 GMT
I was howling at home watching that interview, the bit when Eden talks through his goal, the little sniff then he goes ..."Thank you". Love that confidence and a little bit of arrogance. And big Luiz, "We are fighting for the title"! Damn right we are.

Luiz added pace to the middle of the park, even Carragher managed to notice it in his post match analysis. Luiz always plays at 100mph, he's always looking to move the ball forward as quick as possible as soon as possible and it drives the pace of the team. We got the ball to Hazard and Willian far quicker today and it allowed them to put Liverpool on the back foot, especially in the period after Liverpool's goal where we just ran and ran at them.

If we were going to concede then 3 minutes was the time to do it, we have time to react. Going to need a hell of a performance now and I am still not keen of Willian, his second touch always seems to be a tackle.

Lukaku to Everton
I'd have Lukaku in the side long before Ba, who I think is a woeful player.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
We've been waiting on the "real" Torres showing up for ages and I think we all know it's not going to happen. Although that goal at the Nou Camp, could you value that one at £50m given it helped send us to the Champions League final we would go on to win? Perhaps not, and I don't think Roman believes he's gotten value for money where he sits every week, but he is a strange enigma that's for sure. We've gone through several mangers and changed our style of play with different personnel and each time we've said, "This will be the return of the real Torres", and each time we've been proven wrong. It's sad to see how such a once brilliant striker has turned into a shadow of his former self, because in his Liverpool days he was immense. Would I love him to rattle in a hat trick today? Of course I would. Will he? No, but if he scores the winner in a 1-0 win for us it'd be just as sweet.

Why Rangers ?
Scott, Excellent post and one I can totally relate to. I grew up a Rangers fan but the sectarian and political stuff just scunnered me, I want to support a team because of the football not because of the religious backgrounds and political allegiances. I'm 34 now so I've only been a Chelsea fan since I was 20/21 but up here in Glasgow it's almost sad to see the little bubble both sets of fans live in, it's a case of delusions of grandeur. Scottish football is as good as dead, in fact the day to day talk isn't even about the game! It's sorry tit for tat rubbish that got boring long ago. Thankfully there's another Blues fan in work, coincidentally his Scottish team is Partick Thistle, so I've got someone to share the Blues chat with on a Monday morning! I just got sick and tired of the "other" side of things, and funnily enough I have a friend who was the same but ended up supporting Arsenal. You see a lot more kids in Glasgow wearing Chelsea, United, Liverpool, and Arsenal shirts now as opposed to Old Firm ones and I certainly wouldn't raise my own son a Rangers fan living in Glasgow.

Liverpool would love to be the ones who ended Jose's home streak, we can't let that happen. Suarez is on a different planet just now, no idea where this form has come from this season, but he's going to be a handful. Jose said last week that, if he wanted, he could set up a team to win 1-0 every week. I wouldn't be surprised if we done that today, set up to compress them in the middle with Mikel and Lampard, maybe even sit a little deeper, and look to spring out on the break through Hazard and Mata. Up top, who do we go with? Eto'o or Torres? Flip a coin, ones as good as the other right now which says it all. Big performance needed today, but our boys normally come good when the big games come round and Jose will let them know what's expected. I predict a very tight 2-1 win for the Blues.

Hello from a Glasgow newbie!
Hi folks, 35 year old Glasgow based Blues fan here, been a Chelsea fan since that night in 2000 when we spanked Barcelona 3-1 with a wonderful free kick from Zola and two from Flo. Grew up a Rangers fan but my interest is solely in Chelsea and has been for years now. I didn't get "into Chelsea" through the so called "Blues Brothers" link, I just fell for the Blues that night against Barcelona and was hooked ever since. Looking forward to getting involved in some chat and debate here, and in the meantime lets get into the Scousers today. COME ON YOU BLUES!
