Isn't that selecting the two specific elements of the pretty picture @Nevamind posted that supports your view of Alonso, rather than an objective analysis of the whole set of stats? I'm not defending Alonso in any great way, but look at the whole piece, and compare realistically with any possible alternative. Emerson has a different skill set, but has proved whenever called upon that he isn't up to the relatively modest standard that Alonso is playing at.

From your list, put them in the Chelsea team, playing the same role as Willian is instructed to play every week by the manager, against the same opponents, playing the same way, and see how many of them score as many.
