  1. The guy cracks me up sometimes, but got to admire what's he's done to Barca. Not too pretty, but he's back in the final.
  2. Thoughts from a 50-year old. If when I was 10-20-30 years old and someone said to me that you'll be in the top three for five years in a row, I'd have said they were nuts, but wished it were true. But today, I'll be down all through the summer if we don't finish this. So I guess that's the good and the bad.
  3. I know all our focus has to be on getting six points, but do you think Man United will drop any points from their last two games?
  4. I was pacing around the room when United got that last-minute winner against City. All this nervousness could have been averted... Oh well, bring it on!

The first stat can only get better. Let's hope the seond one does too!
  6. Sheva: I agree, the Liverpool game is what it's allcome down to. BestBetting.com has us as 4/7 on and Man Utd 13/8 to win the whole thing. But I think we have the harder run in because of the Liverpool game.
  7. Actually, it would be nerve-wracking, but I would almost prefer we won through goal difference - it would emphasize what a great season for goals by us and be like a reward for our attractive football.
  8. Assuming we beat Stoke (and I'm writing this with us 3-0 up at half-time) then we are one point ahead of United with two games left each. I did all the possible combinations that could happen - from both teams winning their two games to both losing them. I came up with 36 combinations of points - e.g. we get 6, United get 6, we get 6, United get 4, etc. Of these, only four combinations would result in both of us having the same number of points at the end of the season, and therefore goal difference being the decider. The four combinations are: We get 3 points, they get 4 We get 2 points, they get 3 We get 1 point, they get 2 We get 0 points, they get 1 Seems like the first combination is the only one that might happen.
  9. So I want to wake up and find it was all just a bad dream ...
  10. Whod do you think should win the PFA Player of the Year? Who do you think will win? Me - I think Drogba and Shrek were best, I think Rooney will end up getting it.
  11. I may have got my maths wrong, but I think that even if we lose our last four games, we still come at worst fourth, so we are guarenteed a Champions league place. Ten years ago, this would have been a massive deal, but now we take it for granted, But anyway, well done lads.
  12. One good thing for me was that there was no doubt on the 50-50 balls that everyone was jumping in. Terry always will go for it - but there were many good challenges from the midfielders and forwards on those "could-go-one-way-or-other" balls that showed a real hunger. Also, Drogba is great to have back there in defense on a free kick. He knows what he's doing and uses his height and strength to good effect. Also, remember a few months ago, the talk was all about how we were vunerable to set-pieces. Well, let's hear it for Carlo and the players, because they've done a good job at sorting this out. And it's funny, I'm now less nervous about us playing the higher posiitioned teams - Spuds, Liverpool - that I was a Bolton. Must be the Man U game, or the collapse of Benitez.
  13. I think Anelka did well. He had many times where he received the ball, ran a bit, maybe did a dummy move/reverse and then passed successfully. Little moments like that add up. Kalou tries - but he almost seems too slight, too lightweight. Anyway, we're now are now at one of those rare times when we want Spurs to win, and go Tevez.
  14. Massive. Forget Wigan! This could be it!
  15. Bolton comes close. king hell. Now I'm just waiting for the clock.
  16. I don't know if the theory of relativety explains this, but I am aging one year for every 12 minutes here.
  17. Looks like Drogba got away with a handball in the first half!
  18. What do you think Bolton will do - protect their goal difference or go for it?
  19. No need to delay - Kalou off Malouda on from the start of the second.
