Two months on and stil I get goosebumps watching YouTube highlighs from Bayern, Drogba's cool penaty, brilliant. Just imagine if he had missed! But he didn't and there is the happy place. Hello Wigan.

I keep re-watching Drogba's winning CL penalty on YouTube and I'm at the stage where I think even if we came 5th or worse next year in the PL and get kicked out in the first stage of the CL, I would still be immune to any pain, as a result of Munich. But is that just a today thing. Will I be screaming in pain if we lose 3-1 away to Everton away next season and go 5th? I guess PL expectations must be higher next season? We must be better than 6th. Hmmm....

Wouldn't another year of Didier at Chelsea been good for everyone, including him? It seems like a move away from us seemed inevitable in the press and message boards. Did I miss something? At 34 you still have one good year I think. Was it mainlly him wanting to go or us thinking we needed to move on without him, or 50/50?

I loved the games when we had Duff and Robben firing on both cylinders.

Yep - for me that was the other one. One thing I've been thinking about over the last few weeks is how much the CL win has meant to me. I thought the Premiership was the main thing, but my emotions seem to say that the CL was what I really wanted - maybe it's because we have done so well in the PL over the last few years. I'm going in to this new season totally relaxed - strange.

Very nice to see Spain's last two goals coming from two of our players. For me then"big four" in the Premiership are now: Chelsea Man City Man utd Arsenal And based on overall performances in the Euro 2012, City and us had the best players there. (Of course, that says nothing about the South American and African players.)
