x-Eden-Hazard-CFC
Didier Drogba signs for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua Didier Drogba has signed for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in a two-and-a-half year deal. The former Chelsea striker will fly out to join the squad in July. He said: "I have considered all the offers I have received in the past few weeks, but feel that Shanghai Shenhua is the right move for me at this time." The Ivory Coast forward's last act in a Chelsea shirt was scoring the winning penalty in their Champions League final defeat of Bayern Munich in May. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18517019 All the best Didier!! - Legend
The Brit
glad to see he went there rather than a team in europe we'd possibly play against...obviously gone for the pay day to help fund his work in the ivory coast....he deserves it and I hope it all goes well for him there...also hope he (and nico) finds time to come back for a game at the bridge so we can show our appreciation once again
evissy
Great news!!! Drogba will make millions there and we all know big amount of it goes to help his country. Massive player, great person. That's our Didier. There was also that small chance he'd play a team we will face eventually but I don't see us facing Shenhua in a competitive match anytime soon. I wouldn't be too surprised if we play them in a preseason friendly next summer, though.

Arq
Definitely a legend after what he's done for us. I wish him nothing but the best. Good luck Didier and rip it up in China!
Zola
I cant wait to see the weekly videos of him knocking half of the opposing team on their asses followed up with the net busters.
dkw
There will be dozens of Chinese league defenders crying themselves to sleep for weeks now, poor sods will be sh*tting themselves.
Guest RFC_CFC
He must be a good price to get over 30 goals next season for them, Drog will show no mercy!
Uno
Everyone thought that when Anelka went there but i heard he hasnt been that successful.
just
The club should fly him home, put a kit on him, and sit him in the dug-out everytime we play Le Arse. Their back four would cack themselves just looking at him.
x-Eden-Hazard-CFC
I wouldn't be too surprised if we play them in a preseason friendly next summer, though. I think that could be possible, would be good id like to see that. maybe Essien might link up with Shanghai Shenhua too? i really do feel sorry for Essien with his knee injuries! andy
Surpised he didnt go to the US .... super stardom would have suited him and he would have probably got more in sponsorship deals to fund his various projects... we can only assume it is an amazing deal in China However agree with most, he has left us a legend and won't be coming back as a rival, we couldn't ask for more. Good Luck Didier
Guest RFC_CFC
Everyone thought that when Anelka went there but i heard he hasnt been that successful. In all fairness Drogba is twice the player Anelka is or ever was.
CodyBound
Is Anelka still the player manager there??? If so does that mean Drogba will be answering to Anelka ha? Should be the other way around.
Andreas
Happy for him, legend. Malouda the next one to go there with Essien? Haha they would have some force

timetowaste
In all fairness Drogba is twice the player Anelka is or ever was. And Anelka has only played 9 games so far, he had an ankle injury.
TheWestwayWonder
Hope he can play with anelka, like in the good old times... But Anelka was leaving or not? Last I heard Anelka was pissed that the owner had brought in a new manager. But I dont know if it was enough for him to leave the club. Very very happy for Didier, and happy at his choice, but I hope the apparent circus at Shanghai settles down. I hope Didier enjoys himself and is on the biggest contract of all time. That might still belong to the ludicrous contract Eto'o got from Anzhi Macharcharcharcharka. Amazingly he only nabbed 8 league goals there. For that reported 600,000 Euros a week thats a little light.
stevo
Really plaesed for the drog, still has not sunk in that he wont be playing for us next season. Hope we arrange a legends game for him to take part in in a few years.
