Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Best player by far today, only player who actually tried to do anything in the attacking third, ran at the defence and was dangerous. Still saw the inconsistent side of him in the first half though, a better player does more with the ball over the top.

Conor Gallagher
Nkunku wont find it too difficult, need more players who can do something in the final third. The praise for Gallagher is OTT but I get the positives have been lacking so far so fans need to find something, looks like a headless chicken most of the time.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
Madrid have a host of midfielders old and young who are better than Enzo, even Ceballos would give Enzo a run for his money.
-
Nicolas Jackson - striker
I would take a Mark Stein or John Spencer right now, they could finish.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
The 80mins against Liverpool and 45mins at West Ham, that was enough for to decide Carney didn't look good, maybe I should have used the words "he didn't play well" but obviously a goal makes everything seem better and hype. I'm not saying he isn't very good because he might end up being a world better in 5 years just IMO he didn't play as well as others seem to think. That's the problem with the squad as a whole tbh, a few players with immediate impact would have helped.

Of course I didn't watch any pre-season games, they mean f**k all 😂, got better things to do than watch sh*t games in America.

That's one hell of a sh*t post you have pulled up there. Any u23 player will need some time to develop but I don't think fans expected a squad of mainly 25 and under, I've read many fans on here mention experience and youth together. Fans would also like some decent football and let's remember, Chelsea's first 5 games have included 10 man West Ham, Luton, Forest and Bournemouth and it's been awful.

My favourite part of the week, all that matters to me

Carney wasn't even looking that great but he scored a goal and the hype train soon came. Chelsea fans haven't had much to cheer for from the 50 new signings and scoring being a problem so scoring a goal might be worthy of some hype 😂

Nicolas Jackson - striker
Very similar to Werner, makes good runs but can't finish and you wouldn't want him leading the line for a season.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
If his frustrated maybe his should start looking at himself first, since his signed his looked average.

Spending 1billion in a year while giving out long contracts to players says otherwise.

Well that's it then, were going to win the league. f**king stats 😂

Utd won the efl cup, got to the fa cup final and top 4 but a stat of Casmiero has been dribbled past 12 times means it's not working.

Compared to what Chelsea have paid for a big bunch of youngsters and the latest was Palmer for 45m then I dont see how paying 50m for Mitrovic was a bad option. He obviously wouldn't have joined once Al Hilal wanted him but he was better value than the majority of transfers over the last year.

Nkunku still managed 36 games, Fofana was out for a whole season with a broken leg and cost 20m more. Wasn't the deal done in December, halfway through last season.

Was anyone in favour of Fofana for 80m? After a season out with a long injury was always going to be an expensive risk. Cucerlla for 60m when City wouldn't even pay half. Mudryk for 70m after a few games for Shaktar They was some risky transfers and that's just 3 out of loads of deals that could go wrong.

At the time of each transfer happening (including fee) and not with hindsight I have only been happy with one transfer and that's Nkunku. Majority of the transfers for me have had huge question marks over them, personally I would have preferred Ward Prowse who I think was a bargain and Maddison. The board did do superbly with the sale of Havertz and Mount.

I personally thought 45m for Gallagher was great money but also City will be very happy with the 40m +5m for Palmer especially when Maddison was 45m and was Ward Prowse around 30m, I would have taken both players at Chelsea.

Be careful, you are treading on dangerous ground with this post 😉

Tbf Brighton also have the likes of Dunk, Veltman, Gross, March, Estupinan and with others like Lallana, Milner, Dahoud, Steele and Webster on the bench with Wellbeck also missing. I've seen people say about blending youth and experience and Brightons squad has plenty of experience.

From the first 3 games it was obvious to me a striker was needed but money keeps getting spent on young players. Jackson isn't an out and out striker, his more a Werner than anything and better of the striker. Nkunku I feel will score goals but there could be alot of games like today when you just need a striker to be taking chances on crosses.

Chelsea v Forest (PL) Sat 2nd Sep 2023 15:00 GMT
Billion pound and no striker, that's some cracking business 😂

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
Modern fans will bring out useless stats to back a player though so it works out both ways. If you work hard enough you might even find stats to make Ziyech look good.
