Champions League Group Stage Draw
Im pretty sure that we were able to manage to get one of the easier groups of the draw. Glad we missed out on Madrid, that would have been a very tough, early test. I dont see why we should not take max or near max points out of our group. Porto may be the most testing side of the group, but who knows how the other two sides will play against us. Nonetheless, I feel confident in saying that well make the Round of 16.

Douglas Costa Chelsea Target
Hes looking quite good over at Bayern being that Ribery is still out. Wold have been a nice signing to have competed with Oscar/Willian for the no 10 role or the wing spot. Can spread the pitch wide and looks to have an eye for goal. Oh well, tis life.

Possible transfers?
Varane and Javi Martinez would be a nice coup. Dont forget about Axel Witzel, that would be a nice pairing with Matic, freeing up Cesc to wear his magic hat a bit further up the fiield.

Alexandre Lacazette to Chelsea
Could not agree more. If Remy is valued at about £10-12 million and we added £15-17, that would be a very, very solid purchase for a young striker that could lead the line whenever The Guv'nor needs a day of rest and could easily be the lead striker during League/FA Cup games. Really hoping this gets done.

Possible transfers?
I havent read much on Laporte, but if partnership with Zouma would benefit, why not bring him on board if the price is right. I agree, Javi Martinez could be a nice cover for Matic and Cesc, and hes younger than Mikel, hes a whole story on his own.

Ezequiel Garay
Stones, to me, is unrpoven to what he can do. A couple seasons back we were "linked" with Ross Barkley and how he was going to become the next big England stud. Injuries and fall of form have hampered his development a little. Why would we take the risk on Jones being the next "big thing" to come out of England. As good as it would be to have home grown talent, its not bad to look elsewhere for young talent. Varane could cost between 15-25 million pounds, has experience in league and European competition. That sounds a lot better than 45 million those Toffees are holding out for, yeah right, thats David Lulz range and we see how that turned out for P$G.

Anthony Martial
Martial would a good future signing, maybe in about 3-4 years once hes matured a bit more, however 55 million euros is just a bit too much. Pacy, scorer and can do the defensive work. Could definitely see him as a good option off the bench behind first choice striker. Plays in Monaco and thats probably a good developmental team for the mean time.

Chelsea rumours & close misses over the years
Probably one of the more "coup-like" signings would have been Rooney. Would have been deadly combo have Hazard, Willian, Rooney behind Costa. Since Rooney could also slot in as striker if need be, would have been a nice signing. Yet again, we have been linked with Messi, Ronaldo, Ibra, Neymar, Isco, Pogba, Aguero, Lewandowski, Ribery, Schweinsteiger and the list goes, there will always be "missed" signings.

Possible transfers?
Since we have become a European super club, we are always linked with the heavy hitters on the transfer market. Great and dandy, we need big names to continue on the path we are on, however, we also need those industrial names that will get the job done without the glitz and glamour, ie. Azpilicueta. Im surprised that we did not make a run at Ricardo Rodriguez, young LB/RB who could provide nice cover for Dave/Baba and Ivanovic, hes not getting any younger, as we have seen in the first three matches. Its quite hard to grab younger players because the established/senior players are not going to let go of the position so easily, but I would like to see Varane come in at some point, that dual partnership with Zouma would be awesome. Idk about everyone else's thoughts, what do you think? Cheers.
