Would love to see them get minutes - but everyone can't forget that under the Roman reign, he's going to want players who can win "now", and not in the future. Which usually means lengthy loan spells. Hopefully we handle their futures better than we did KDB's...

Given the ages of Pedro/Cesc - and I know they don't necessarily play the same role - I think this would have been a great move in January. Need to start thinking about life after some of these "older" players and life after this manager's, in terms of playing style.

Obviously not an incredible transfer, but I like this Giroud move - different player from Morata and will provide a new and different threat (hopefully) on set pieces. Conte playing Eden/Willian/Pedro as frontmen was just not a suitable option.

He needs to work on his finishing and decision making in the final third. For someone in his position, he sure does end up with plentiful chances, but has been awful when it comes to finishing or at least testing the keeper. I like the kid - and people need to remember that he is in fact 23 years of age and playing in England for the first time. Let him grow and develop, but he certainly does need to grow, learn and adapt.

Obviously any new player needs time to "settle in" - I think the larger question/issue here is, does Barkley fit the system? Obviously limited amount of minutes to judge him on, but Willian/Hazard/Pedro/Cesc/Alonso/Cesar know each other like the back of their hands. Reserving final judgement, but Conte will need to earn his paycheck here.

Signing Carroll would be a slap in the face to Hazard/Morata. If you're going to go out there and spend money, get some quality and not mess around with mediocre players...
