  1. Enzo, basically cleared a ball and gave Noni a chance, Enzo was playing the ball out of the back, he was guarding the most dangerous player on the throw. it's simple, noni gets lazy. Noni steps up to the receiver of the throw, enzo to the thrower and james to the player enzo was on. We're golden. Noni, always takes the lazy way.
  2. Noni plays them onside guarding Gvardiol, yet Gvardiol still scores
  3. Bob,You want to act like you know the game but you think Enzo's the problem here? How about the first picture. Noni's throwing a tantrum, doesn't meet the guy nearest him, dragging Palmer out of position, freeing someone in the middle. There was no confusion, Noni just didn't play. Enzo is one of the furthest players from the ball, but runs to put pressure on him, where Noni does nothing at all, Caicedo, should have cleaned this up. Enzo isn't even in the first picture you show, but recovered all of the way to be in the middle of it. This is lack of leadership in the back, some needs to tell Caicedo to step instead of getting run out of position. Obviously Acheampong was way too loose, which is why he was and should have been immediately subbed. My order on this goal, 1) Noni for being useless if he just pressures the receiver, nothing follows, 2) Acheampong for being too loose, 3) Sanchez for giving up the near post again. 4) Caicedo for not stepping, 5) Sancho for not stepping with Palmer, 6) Colwill for getting caught in no man's land and letting Caicedo go to the backside. 7) Reece James for being too loose, then you have Enzo, Palmer, Jackson and Cucu. You say Jackson has an impressive work rate to
  4. "So if it was a technical decision, why is he now back being our best CB? Its quite obvious it was purely a financial decision from above. If not then its pure incompetence by someone in a management position. " I think they saw it as Colwill, Fofana, and Tosin as 1,2,3 with Disasi, Badi and Trev battling for 4/5. Of the three not in the main rotation, only one was sellable. Three of the 4 they deemed ahead of him are injured, and to be fair, he improved more with the loan than he would have by sitting here. Isn't this a good use of loan? Yes they should have treated him better, but having a player of his caliber on loan to pull back when other CB's get hurt is the exact opposite of managerial incompetence.
  5. Nkunku is also on 10M / year. Same as Noni, Lavia and Mudryk combined. Garnacho is currently 1/4 of the salary.
  6. That's a pretty good loan fee for him.
  7. The only thing I make of Garnacho is another move. Maybe we sell Chillwell and buy Garnacho. Think our directors will continue to flip with the buy one sell one to the same club model when they can.
  8. "Eventually we’ll have a team full of experience with more younger players ready to compete for places which is the ideal situation. Really we should have bought experience first then added the youth, it’s not like the youngsters are cheaper. Don’t ask me why but we’ve done it arse about tit and now need to hope the young uns develop on top of gaining the required experience without examples to follow in the team." The youngsters are much cheaper. Our vets came in at 200,000+ / week most of our young players at 50,000. It's why Sterling, Lukaku, Chillwell and others are so hard to get rid of, they come on massive wages and theres no where to go if they don't produce. Chillwell's at 200,000/ wk, Veiga is at 25,000 / wk
  9. "I mean if we are going to persist with starting well then fading away I'd rather start Enzo+Caicedo then sub Lavia on in the 2nd half to help close the game out. " After yesterday not sure Lavia's ready to close out a game, hard to see the Enzo complaints, when Lavia pissed the ball away to lead to the PK simply not willing to use his left foot at all.
  10. I don't know about Madueke, I think he's boom/bust type guy. He through a bit of a fit on trying to handle a tough ball right before the goal. Just don't think he has the mentality.
  11. honestly really liked james inverting there, thought he's tidy and clean and strong in the middle. think his days of bombing up and down the flank are better finished anyway, as his hamstrings don't want to allow it.
  12. Wasn't that Kendry? Thought it was more like 30m for estevao 16 m was Deivid Washington.
  13. Didn't we pay 16m for him
  14. "On the right, I would agree, but I think he is better on the left. I prefer crosses into the box or our wingers cutting in when we are playing against defensive teams, and Neto has a decent cross on him." Jackson's skillset isn't really finishing those crosses. I think Felix is a better option running into the box on a cross than Jackson, Neto, Sancho, or Madueke. Without a new striker can't play two crossers.
  15. We all get hyped by potential, but transfermarkt has this kid as our 7th most valuable player already. A lot of the guys hyped on here aren't valued yet. Here's transfer markets valuations for players younger than Cole Palmer for Chelsea https://www.transfermarkt.com/estevao/profil/spieler/1056993 They still have kendry paez at 12m, Andrey Santos at 25m, and Estevao at 50m Josh Acheampong Right-Back May 5, 2006 (18) €1.00m Tyrique George Left Winger Feb 4, 2006 (18) - Marc Guiu Centre-Forward Jan 4, 2006 (19) €8.00m Deivid Washington Centre-Forward Jun 5, 2005 (19) €9.00m Aarón Anselmino Centre-Back Apr 29, 2005 (19) €8.00m Roméo Lavia Defensive Midfield Jan 6, 2004 (21) €40.00m Carney Chukwuemeka Central Midfield Oct 20, 2003 (21) €15.00m Renato Veiga Left-Back Jul 29, 2003 (21) €10.00m Malo Gusto Right-Back May 19, 2003 (21) €35.00m Levi Colwill Centre-Back Feb 26, 2003 (21) €55.00m Cesare Casadei Central Midfield Jan 10, 2003 (22) €10.00m Lucas Bergström Goalkeeper Sep 5, 2002 (22) €700k
  16. Wonder if the recall Chalobah, is just a negotiating ploy with CP. Let CP know they'll lose one now, maybe both by summer, might include TC in a deal for MG.
  17. Why would we sell Madueke, let alone in January? See above, in my eyes : he's our 4th best RW (I view Neto, Sancho and Palmer all better at that position) would personally rather see Chukwuemeka as 10 and Palmer as 7, than Palmer as 10 and Madueke as 7 he gives us little to no tactical flexibility, only plays one position and not well enough doesn't sound like he trains well we have an upgrade coming in June seems a selfish player in play style and the penalty, we will have less games on the back half of the schedule see him becoming a cancer. he's pure profit, and if we want a CB upgrade to keep top 4, he'd give us the most financial flexibility
  18. Mine: Sell - Madueke, Nkunku, Disasi, Vale, and Chillwell. Buy - Central Defender upgrade. Chukwuemeka, not sure if we move on from Nkunku and Madueke, there would be room for him, but still would sell with a nice offer. Madueke, will be obsolete this summer with our two young south americans, he doesn't play well with Jackson, and most important in my eyes for this season, he clogs a spot only being servicable as a RW. I would like to see more of mixing palmer between 10 and RW to give him freedom, and make it harder for teams to key on him. Neto, Sancho and Palmer all are better on the RW than Madueke, and he's profit to bring in an upgraded CB
  19. I think he has good qualities, but we seem to have 3 or 4 second strikers in an old 4-4-2. Giroud works in these lone striker teams because he's such a threat in the air, and Cucurella has as many goals from the head this year as Jackson. I'd love to see Guiu get a run.
  20. It's hard to be a consistent player with such a weak first touch on balls in the air.
