But for Kepa pool would have been out of sight. The difference in quality between the two sides was like night and day. Not one of our team would get in their first XI. Been a Chelsea fan since 2003, when I was 7 years old. I’m just more objective than a lot of our fan base. I call things how I see them. The facts are Liverpool had 26 attempts on goal and Kepa made 9 saves. We didn’t defend well and some of our players can’t hold a candle to their predecessors.

He’s the same age as Aguero and only a year older than Aubameyang. And they’re still toying with PL defences. With 6 months of PL football already under his belt and a solid pre-season Higgy would have been tearing it up. I’d sooner have him than the two immobile beanpoles we currently have to make do with.

And what had Van Dijk won before joining Liverpool? There’s no reason why Koulibaly couldn’t achieve similar success here. Ultimately though this talk is redundant anyway as we’re currently a million miles away from being able to prize players like Koulibaly to the bridge.

Koulibaly is currently one of the best defenders in world football. The other two aren’t even among the best in the PL. And judging a players ability on what they’ve won is silly.

Yes I called Rudiger and Christensen mediocre & clowns because that is my subjective opinion. Neither player is even a nailed on starter for their national teams. I think we can do a lot better. We’ve gone from Terry and Carvalho to those two? Standards have dropped considerably and that shouldn’t be the case for a club like CFC. Forgive me for not sharing your optimism.
